Under general direction, this role exercises independent judgment and discretion in managing tool inventory, procurement, maintenance, safety compliance, and vendor relationships. The Supervisor ensures tools and equipment are available, safe, cost-effective, and aligned with project and operational needs, while providing leadership and direction to tool room personnel.\nWhat You Will Do\nManage the company’s tools and equipment, ensuring assets are effectively deployed and controlled across job sites and facilities.\nOversee the inventory, maintenance, repair, and replacement of tools and equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition, adhere to safety regulations, and are readily available for use.\nProactively plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and testing of tools and equipment, coordinating with vendors as necessary.\nMaintain accurate and complete records of tools and equipment.\nCoordinate with project teams to conduct vehicle and tool audits.\nSchedule, conduct, and oversee job site and warehouse audits to ensure compliance and accountability.\nTrack, investigate, and coordinate the replacement or recovery of stolen, damaged, or lost tools.\nAnalyze inventory trends and utilization data to recommend improvements and cost controls.\nDetermine tool and supply needs based on usage trends, forecasts, and operational requirements.\nEstablish when rentals are required; authorize, order, and track rentals to meet project demands while controlling costs.\nEstablish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers; negotiate contracts and oversee service agreements\nAdhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.\nMaintain a physical presence onsite and provide assistance to specific groups, managers and project management teams as needed.\nPerform other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.\nWhat You Will Need to be Successful\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience\nProven experience in tool management/repair, or a related field\nSuccessful completion of OSHA 30 training preferred\nProven ability to exercise independent judgement and make decisions impacting cost, safety, and operational effectiveness.\nStrong organizational and project management skills\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills\nUnderstanding of inventory management and procurement processes\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nProvide day-to-day leadership and direction to tool room employees. Assign and prioritize work ensuring coverage aligns with operational and project needs. Train, coach, and support team members on processes, safety expectations, and tool management.\nSpecial Requirements/Physical Demands/Working Conditions:\nWork is primarily performed in a warehouse setting with occasional exposure to health or safety hazards such as, but not limited to, heavy equipment and machinery and inclement weather conditions. Frequent operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions. Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying of 50+ lbs. (including heavier loads with assistance). Travel required to work sites.
