This is an opportunity to step into a specialist driving role-operating airside, working directly with aircraft, and becoming part of a highly regulated, safety-critical operation.\nRole Responsibilities:\nDriver will work a 4 on 4 of shift pattern as part of a team on a rotating shift pattern reporting to the Cargo Coordinator\n\nDelivering and collecting airfreight directly to and from aircraft\n\nOperating Class 1 vehicles in an airside environment at Heathrow\n\nWorking to strict aviation, security, and road transport standards\n\nEnsuring loads are secure, paperwork is accurate, and procedures are followed\n\nRepresenting PrimeFlight professionally at one of the world’s busiest airports\n\nDrivers report to the cargo coordinator to receive work at their start time either 6am or 7am. Generally, drivers will service our 2 Japanese carriers Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airlines remaining customer focused and diligent in order to meet the fast-paced environment of Heathrow Airport.\n\nDriver will remain in contact with the cargo coordinator to receive further work when flight loading has taken place, this includes mail deliveries for Royal Mail Group and any transshipments AVI etc that the coordinator has allocated.\n\nTo ensure all vehicles are inspected as per DVSA guidelines before use and to report faults to the Cargo Coordinator or Transport Manager using the defect report process.\n\nCarry out minor repairs if necessary to prevent delays and VOR days to the vehicles on the fleet, these incudes headlight marker lights etc.\n\nEnsure all tachograph and Working time directive rules are adhered to in accordance with current legislation.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Transport Manager or Cargo Coordinator.\n\nWhat were looking for?\n\nFull UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Ability to pass a 5-year background check (employment & address history)\n\nAbility to obtain a clear DBS check\n\nStrong safety mindset and professional driving standards\n\nReliability, punctuality, and attention to detail\n\nWhy Join PrimeFlight Cargo?\nPedictable 4 on / 4 off shift pattern\n\nWork in a unique airside environment - not general haulage\n\nLong-term stability within a global aviation services company\n\nStructured procedures, modern equipment, and strong safety culture\n\nOpportunity to build specialist airside driving experience\n\nPlease note: This is a security-cleared aviation role.
