Primer will ready them for the next.\nAbout the role\nPrimer is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Aftercare Program Guide to manage and engage students during the after school program.\nThe ideal candidate is passionate about working with children between kindergarten to 8th grade, fostering a safe and fun environment, and contributing positively to the school community.\nPart-Time\nSchedule: Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM, during the school year\nCompensation: $26.67 per hour\nStudent Safety Commitment: Student safety is Primerʼs most important responsibility to families. It is critical that Aftercare Guides know where students are at all times, understand emergency procedures, and ensure that every student is safely picked up by an authorized person.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise and engage all students enrolled in the Aftercare program.\n\nEnsure student safety at all times by knowing the location of all students and following authorized pick-up protocols.\n\nImplement structured daily programming aligned to the aftercare schedule.\n\nWhile schedule is subject to change, it may include:\nOpening Circle: snack time and daily connection\n\nPhysical Activity: staff-led activities that supports healthy movement and teamwork\n\nAcademics: student-choice academic time (e.g., educational boardgames, reading, book clubs)\n\nSkill-Building Activities: games and challenges that promote real-life skills\n\nAdapt activities to meet the needs of your group and the space available\n\nBuild positive relationships and maintain respectful communication with students, families, and school staff\n\nUnderstand and follow emergency and safety protocols outlined by the school leadership\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aftercare environment\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or higher\n\nPrior experience working with children and creating engaging, age-appropriate activities\n\nCommunicates clearly and professionally with students, families, and school staff\n\nDemonstrates responsibility, reliability, and a positive attitude\n\nCan effectively manage time and resources to create a smooth and enjoyable aftercare experience\n\nWilling and able to complete state database fingerprinting, a background check and Mandatory Abuse Reporting training\n\nPrimer is a mission-first company.
