Reporting to the Structural Discipline Engineering Manager you will be required to work across a continuous succession of projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning.\nThis role will be based at our new Head Office on St Georges Tce, Perth. Adjacent to the train station, the City office has state of the art end of journey facilities, including secure storage for bicycles and scooters, a gym, tennis court, basketball hoop and a swimming pool available for all Primero employees.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nDeliver structural engineering design solutions for mining, mineral processing and resource sector projects.\nLead structural engineering and design teams on small to medium sized projects.\nUndertake structural engineering design on projects.\nEnsure structural designs comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party, and project requirements.\nEnsure structural designs are delivered in accordance with the project budget and schedule.\nEnsure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects including, cost, constructability, operability and maintainability.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.\nEngage with clients, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project execution.\nAssist with studies and tenders.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.\nWhat You ‘Can Do’\nBachelor of Civil Engineering (recognised by IEAust).\n10+ years’ structural engineering experience in the design of steel and concrete structures for the mining/mineral processing sectors.\nProven leadership of structural engineering and design teams on small to medium sized projects. \nKnowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.\nThorough knowledge and practical application of relevant industry standards and codes of practice.\nProven experience with structural engineering software packages such as Space Gass and Strand7 is essential.\nAbility to rapidly understand and assimilate project and client specific requirements.\nProven experience with development of technical engineering documents, drawings, schedules, and models.\nA team player with the ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplined project teams.\nSite experience during construction is advantageous. \nDemonstrated planning and organisation
