Reporting to the Civil/Structural Discipline Manager you will be required to work across a continuous succession of projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning.\nThis role will be based at our new Head Office on St Georges Tce, Perth. Adjacent to the train station, the City office has state of the art end of journey facilities, including secure storage for bicycles and scooters, a gym, tennis court, basketball hoop and a swimming pool available for all Primero employees.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nLead and manage structural engineering and design teams on small to large projects.\nUndertake and deliver structural engineering design solutions for mining/minerals processing, resource sector, and energy projects. \nDeliver authoritative technical guidance and develop robust, fit-for-purpose, practical, and constructable engineering solutions for clients and key project stakeholders.\nEnsure structural designs comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party, and project requirements.\nUndertake the review, verification, and formal approval of structural calculations, technical reports, specifications, and associated design deliverables.\nContribute to the development of project plans, schedules, budgets, and discipline-specific resource allocations.\nProvide mentorship and structured development to engineers, cultivating technical excellence and sustained professional growth.\nSupport the advancement of continuous improvement initiatives and the refinement of engineering standards.\nEnsure structural designs are delivered in accordance with the project budget and schedule.\nEnsure structural designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects including, cost, constructability, operability and maintainability.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.\nEngage with clients, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project execution.\nAssist with studies and tenders.\nWhat You ‘Can Do’\nBachelor of Civil Engineering (recognised by IEAust).\n15+ years’ structural engineering and project delivery experience in the design of steel and concrete structures for the mining/mineral processing, resource, and heavy industrial sectors.\nA team player with the ability to work collaboratively within the structural team, and other multi-disciplined project teams.\nProven leadership of structural engineering and design teams on small to large projects. \nProven experience in the mining/minerals processing, resource, and heavy industrial sectors.\nThorough knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.\nThorough knowledge and practical application of relevant industry standards and codes of practice.\nProven experience with structural engineering software packages such as Space Gass and Strand7 is essential.\nAbility to rapidly understand and assimilate project and client specific requirements.\nProven experience with development of technical engineering documents, drawings, schedules, and models.\nSite experience during construction is advantageous. \nDemonstrated planning and organisation skills.\nEffective verbal and
