The role requires strong technical expertise in system administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and infrastructure support within mission-critical or data center environments. The engineer will work closely with internal stakeholders, infrastructure teams, vendors, and project teams to ensure system stability, availability, and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdminister, maintain, and support enterprise Solaris and Linux server environments. \nPerform Solaris system administration activities including installation, configuration, patch management, system hardening, and upgrades. \nManage Solaris Cluster environments and Solaris filesystem administration. \nMonitor system health, capacity, and performance to ensure optimal system availability and reliability. \nPerform performance tuning, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for Solaris/Linux infrastructure issues. \nSupport operating system migration, data center migration, and infrastructure refresh activities. \nEnsure system compliance with operational, security, and governance standards. \nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, operational procedures, and implementation guides. \nCoordinate with application, network, storage, and security teams during system implementation and troubleshooting activities. \nProvide technical support during planned maintenance, deployments, and critical incidents. \nEngage stakeholders effectively and provide timely updates on operational or project-related activities. \nParticipate in on-call support and after-office-hours activities when required. \nRequirements\nStrong knowledge of Solaris environment. \nExpertise in Solaris administration, patch management & system upgrades. \nExperience in Solaris Cluster and Solaris filesystem management. \nStrong experience in performance tuning & troubleshooting. \nPreferred to have data center migration experience. \nStrong stakeholder coordination and communication skills. \nFluent in English communication.
