Certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, and AS9100 standards, we combine quality, innovation, and growth-minded thinking to deliver real value.\nJob Summary\nThe Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for the First Article Inspection and ensures product conformity to establish requirements by evaluating product to customer and Engineering drawings, specifications, and other related documents. Coordinates the receiving, in-process and final product inspections, and documents results in various reports and logs in the Quality System Network.\nCompensation: $24-28/hr\nDuties and Responsibilities\nFundamental mechanical and mathematical inspection knowledge.\nFamiliar with the use of all inspection hand gauging including but not limited to, micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, calipers, height gauges, etc.\nEnsure proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions. \nRobust knowledge of GD&T, blueprint, and spec interpretation.\nWork and adhere to quality management systems and requirements (i.e., training, policies, procedures, document control)\nAssists Engineering and Manufacturing in the investigation of non-conformities. \nMaintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Attributes\nGD&T Experience Required\nExperience with inspection equipment such as - Mics, Calipers, Opticals, and Micro heights.\nExtensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications.\nExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.\nEducation and Experience\nAerospace experience OR AS9100.\nLean Manufacturing is a plus\n5+ years preferred experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nQualifications\nEffectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language. Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.\nAbility to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
