This role is based in Salt Lake City, UT and has a hybrid work model.\nJob Summary:\nThe Cloud/DevOps Engineer helps design, build, and support the cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines behind our public safety software products, including ProQA, QA products, and other platforms. This role focuses on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD automation using GitHub and GitHub Actions. This role partners closely with development, QA, and security teams to ensure our mission-critical applications-including ProQA 24/7/365 service supporting emergency call centers-are deployed safely, monitored effectively, and supported through a sustainable on-call rotation. This position reports to the Information Systems Manager and plays a key role in scaling our DevOps practices as our product portfolio grows. This role works on a hybrid schedule based in Salt Lake City, Utah.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Terraform, Azure cloud security best practices, and building reliable, secure, and repeatable deployment pipelines.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to support ProQA, AQUA, and other products.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision, version, and manage cloud resources consistently across environments.\nBuild, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions to automate testing, builds, and deployments.\nImplement and enforce Azure cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), network security, and secrets management.\nMonitor production systems and participate in an on-call rotation to support ProQA 24/7/365 always-on service for emergency call center customers.\nAutomate deployment, scaling, and recovery processes to reduce manual intervention and improve system reliability.\nCollaborate with development and QA teams to integrate security and reliability practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).\nSupport containerization and orchestration efforts, including Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), as needed.\nTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across cloud environments.\nMaintain clear documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and on-call runbooks to support knowledge sharing.\nStay current with evolving Azure services, DevOps tooling, and cloud security practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.\nQualifications\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n2-5 years of experience in a Cloud/DevOps engineering role or related technical position.\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including core compute, networking, and storage services.\nExperience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.\nWorking knowledge of Azure cloud security practices, including IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), network security, and secrets management.\nFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.\nScripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and tooling.\nUnderstanding of containerization technologies such as Docker; experience with Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus.\nExperience supporting production systems, including participation in an on-call rotation.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, QA, and security teams.\nRelevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate) preferred.\nEssential Job Functions/Physical Requirements:\nDesigning, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while implementing security best practices\nMonitors production systems, automates deployment, and provides after hours support as needed\nMaintaining clear documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and on-call runbooks\nAbility to multi-task technical problems efficiently\nAbility to communicate technical concepts to both users and programmers effectively.\nProblem-solving\nFrequent computer and telephone use\nSitting for long periods of time\nConcentrating for long periods of time.\nOccasional travel of less than 5% (training) may be required.\nOur Company: Priority Dispatch Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
