This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business and partner closely with leadership on strategic and operational initiatives.\nPosition Summary\nThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for key accounting processes including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and support of budgeting and forecasting activities. This individual will help ensure compliance with accounting standards, strengthen internal controls, and assist in driving continuous improvement throughout the accounting/finance organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nGeneral Accounting & Financial Reporting\nPrepare and post journal entries related to month-end and year-end closing activities.\nAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nPerform account reconciliations (cash/general ledger) and investigate variances.\nMaintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.\nSupport compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nMonth-End Close\nExecute critical close procedures and meet reporting deadlines.\nAnalyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.\nPrepare supporting schedules and documentation for management review.\nAssist in improving close processes and reducing reporting cycle times.\nInventory & Cost Accounting\nMonitor and analyze inventory transactions, adjustments, and variances.\nReconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.\nAssist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.\nAnalyze inventory valuation, turnover, and cost trends.\nPartner with operations to improve inventory controls and reporting\nBusiness Support & Analysis\nAssist with budgeting and forecasting activities.\nSupport operational leaders by providing financial analysis and reporting.\nDevelop meaningful reports and KPIs that support decision-making.\nParticipate in special projects, process improvements, and system implementations.\nAudit & Compliance\nPrepare documentation for internal and external audits.\nSupport tax compliance and reporting requirements.\nMaintain strong internal controls and adherence to company policies.\nAssist with process documentation and accounting policy updates.\nQualifications\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience.\nStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and financial analysis tools.\nExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred\nCPA certification or CPA candidate.\nPublic accounting experience.\nExperience in manufacturing and multi-location operations.\nExperience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.\nKnowledge of inventory and cost accounting principles.
