This role is considered hybrid; the expectation is two days' presence in the St. Petersburg, FL, Schaumburg, IL, or Edison, NJ office.\nAbout the Position\nPCS is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports using data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Salesforce, and Excel.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, particularly within the insurance domain (e.g., premiums, claims). This individual is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, partnering directly with stakeholders and executive leadership to deliver accurate, actionable insights.\nThis role operates with a high degree of ownership and autonomy and requires adaptability, someone who is open to learning new tools, exploring different approaches, and selecting the right technology to solve data challenges efficiently.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and reports\nBuild and manage data models, including developing efficient DAX measures and calculations\nExtract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources (Oracle, SQL Server, Salesforce, Excel)\nAnalyze insurance-related data such as premiums, claims, and underwriting performance\nPartner with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into effective reporting solutions\nPresent insights and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner\nEnsure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data across all reporting assets\nProactively identify data issues, discrepancies, and anomalies, and drive resolution\nOptimize performance of dashboards, queries, and data models\nSupport ad hoc analysis and reporting requests in a dynamic environment\nExplore and implement alternative solutions (e.g., scripting, automation, or new tools)\nPrepare and deliver executive-ready datasets and reports in Excel\nExcel & Executive Reporting\nBuild and maintain structured, presentation-ready Excel reports for leadership\nUse advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)\nTransform raw data into clean, intuitive, and formatted outputs\nEnsure alignment between Excel deliverables and BI dashboards\nRespond to time-sensitive executive requests\nData Quality & Validation\nValidate and reconcile data across systems (Oracle/SQL Server vs. Salesforce)\nPerform root cause analysis on discrepancies\nApply best practices for QA, reconciliation, and documentation\nPartner with upstream data teams to resolve issues\nEnsure reporting outputs are reliable and auditable\nStakeholder Engagement & Communication\nWork with business leaders and executives to understand needs\nTranslate ambiguous requirements into structured solutions\nCommunicate insights in a clear, business-friendly manner\nPresent findings and respond to stakeholder questions\nProvide thoughtful pushback when needed\nManage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment\nRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Education\n3-5 years of experience in BI or data analytics\nStrong Power BI experience including DAX and modeling\nProficiency in SQL (Oracle and/or SQL Server)\nAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting)\nExperience with Salesforce and Excel data\nData validation and data quality experience\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience presenting to executive stakeholders\nCuriosity and willingness to learn new tools\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nPreferred Qualifications\nInsurance industry experience (claims, premiums, underwriting)\nPython for analysis or automation\nM365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate)\nData warehousing and ETL knowledge\nExperience with large datasets\nEqual Employment Opportunity Policy\nPCS values and is fully committed to diversity and inclusion.
