You'll be responsible for managing the database, analysing power quality data, supporting clients with technical queries, developing internal data tools and preparing technical commercial proposals.\nKey Responsibilities Include:\nManage and maintain the client database and underlying SQL environment.\nManage online client monitoring and query portals.\nAssist with software updates, system maintenance and troubleshooting.\nProvide technical software support to clients.\nAnalyse and interpret electrical logging and power quality data.\nDevelop and improve SQL queries, reporting templates and data-processing tools.\nBuild practical automation and reporting solutions using tools such as Excel/VBA, Python or BI dashboards.\nTurn complex data into clear, useful information for clients and internal teams.\nPrepare detailed technical quotations and commercial proposals.\nDevelop proposals for power quality audits, logging studies and engineering solutions.\nSupport solutions relating to power factor correction (PFC), dynamic VAR compensation, surge protection and other power quality applications.\nEvaluate power quality compliance and identify potential issues from monitoring data.\nCompile professional technical reports.\nRespond to client queries and provide practical, technically sound solutions.\nWork closely with the engineering and commercial teams to deliver solutions that meet client requirements.\nPersonal Attributes:\nTechnical Qualification (Diploma, B.Tech, B.Sc or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT or a related technical discipline.)\nExposure to power systems, electrical engineering or energy management will be advantageous.\nPractical experience working with SQL databases, including querying and basic database management.\nStrong Excel skills.\nAn interest in developing data-driven tools and automation using Excel/VBA, Python, Power BI or similar platforms.\nUnderstanding of energy metering and power quality principles.\nKnowledge of harmonics, transients, power factor, voltage/current unbalance and related PQ parameters.\nExperience with Elspec PQSCADA Sapphire will be advantageous, but is not essential.\nThe Right Person Will Be\nAnalytical, methodical and exceptionally detail-oriented.\nTechnically curious and comfortable working with data and software.\nA practical problem-solver who enjoys finding better ways of doing things.\nSelf-motivated and able to work independently.\nComfortable communicating with clients and translating technical information into practical solutions.\nSomeone who enjoys combining engineering knowledge with technology and data.\nThis is not a traditional engineering role.
