Summary\nThe Tax Director will provide strategic and technical leadership across the firm’s tax activities, overseeing a portfolio of clients and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.\nThe Tax Director role is a senior leadership position within the Tax practice and is designed to provide a pathway towards Partnership, subject to demonstrated performance, leadership, business development capabilities and the firm’s partnership criteria.\nThe selected candidate will contribute to the development and growth of the Tax Department.\nThe Tax Director will also lead and develop team members while ensuring engagements are delivered in accordance with applicable legislation, professional standards, internal policies and quality requirements.\n\nMain Responsibilities\nTax Compliance & Tax Advisory\nLead complex tax advisory and compliance engagements for local and international clients. \nAdvise on corporate income tax, VAT, and other direct and indirect tax matters. \nProvide technical advice on transactions, reorganisations, investments, and business initiatives. \nReview complex tax positions, technical memoranda, tax computations, and statutory filings. \nOversee the preparation and timely submission of tax returns and statutory filings. \nEnsure compliance with tax legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. \nIdentify key tax risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. \nManage tax audits, investigations, objections, and tax authority queries. \nMonitor legislative developments and assess their impact on clients. \nMaintain appropriate engagement documentation and quality controls. \nAct as a senior technical reference and provide guidance to the Tax team. \n\nLeadership & Team Development\nSupervise, coach, and mentor team members, ensuring development and performance improvement. \nReview work performed by the team, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with standards. \nAllocate tasks effectively and monitor workload distribution. \nFoster a high-performance and collaborative team environment. \nRequirements\nQualifications and Competencies\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.\n10+ years of experience in a similar role. \nStrong technical knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and Accounting softwares. \nExceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative style, a commitment to service and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. \nSolid analytical, problem solving, and planning skills with excellent attention to detail. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently. \nExperience in Accounting and the
