You’ll run and troubleshoot equipment across all of our cleansing bar and chocolate lines, lead problem-solving when complex issues come up, and serve as the shift’s first point of contact for equipment problems when the supervisor isn’t available.\nYou’ll train and coach Operator 1 and 2 team members and work with Leadership, Quality, and Learning & Development on training, safety, and continuous improvement. This role is designed to prepare you for technical lead and supervisory positions.\nRequirements\nWHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS )\nHigh school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: an associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or technology with 1-3 years of relevant experience, OR 3-5 years of manufacturing experience operating automated production equipment in a regulated environment.\nAt least 2 years on continuous-process, extrusion, or complex multi-machine production lines.\nAdvanced mechanical aptitude: able to independently take apart, inspect, reassemble, and verify equipment.\nHigh adaptability: able to step into any station on any line and keep production on track when plans change.\nExperience troubleshooting electrical systems, controls, and machine software.\nProven ability to train, coach, and share knowledge with other operators.\nStrong organization and clear communication in English, including written batch records, deviation reports, and handover notes.\nComfortable using computers and touchscreen machine controls (HMI).\nWilling to work overtime and weekends as needed.\nPREFERRED : \nVocational or technical training in manufacturing, mechanical systems, or industrial maintenance.\nSenior operator or technician experience on extrusion or continuous-process forming equipment.\nExperience as an informal team lead or go-to resource on a multi-machine production line.\nExperience in GMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environments, including HACCP, CCP management, or audit readiness.\nExperience with SOP writing, process audits, or change control documentation.\nFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic data analysis and reporting.\nCleanroom or aseptic handling experience\nWHAT YOU\"LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)\nTechnical Lead on the Floor\nRun, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment on all lines without direct supervision.\nServe as the shift’s first point of escalation for complex equipment and process issues when the supervisor isn’t available.\nVerify equipment and lines are ready to run after cleaning and reassembly.\nWatch quality trends across the full production run and adjust before problems occur.\nLead root cause investigations with leadership and cross-functional teams.\nStep in at any station to cover breaks and keep production moving.\nLead and Develop People\nTrain and coach Operator 1s and 2s on setup, operation, troubleshooting, documentation, and safety.\nAssist with documenting on-the-job training observations and skills assessments; report training gaps to Leadership and L&D.\nSet the example for safety, quality, and GMP every shift.\nQuality and Continuous Improvement\nReview batch records throughout the shift and guide operators on correct documentation practices.\nWork with Quality Assurance to resolve documentation errors.\nComplete clear deviation reports and shift handover notes.\nTake part in continuous improvement projects that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.\nSafety Leadership\nMonitor safety and PPE compliance across the lines.\nLead multi-person lockout/tagout (LOTO) and identify gaps in LOTO practices.\nEncourage near-miss reporting and take part in safety walks.\nFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping standards.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWork takes place in a GMP-regulated manufacturing plant with food-grade and cleansing bar production areas.\nNoise levels range from moderate to high.\nThe facility is smoke-free and divided into GMP zones.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nStand and be on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift.\nFrequently walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach.\nLift up to 50 lbs by hand and push/pull up to 500 lbs using manual or electric pallet jacks or other equipment.\nWork in varying temperatures depending on the production area.\nWear required PPE, including dust masks, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and protective clothing.\nBenefits\nWHAT WE OFFER\nProCaps provides:\nHourly Pay Range: $27.00 - $29.00, depending on experience and qualifications\nEligible for a discretionary company-wide bonus\nTop-Tier Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage - $0 when you qualify for the Wellness Program!\nPaid Time Off, Eight (8) Company Holidays \n401(k) with Company Match - up to 4.5%\n100% Company Life Coverage \n100% Short Term Disability Coverage\nGym Membership Reimbursement \nVitamin Allowance + Discounts \nCompany-Funded Health Savings Account ($1,600/year)\nCash Reward Employee Referral Program \nPet Insurance \n***Fantastic work environment that focuses on Safety, Quality, Community, and amazing people.
