It will be an opportunity for you to join a community devoted to making a difference in this world!\nThe Opportunity That Awaits You\nAs a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Equipment, you will bring your hands on expertise to develop new equipment, improve current equipment designs and equipment documentation, manage equipment projects, and perform root cause analysis of non-conforming equipment. This role will contribute to company projects by developing new/modified fixtures, supporting the Production line via fixture improvements/troubleshooting/NCMRs, leading internal equipment improvement initiatives, and working with suppliers to develop new complex fixtures. An ideal candidate will have the ability to design and develop complex fixtures, be able drive projects to closure, be an excellent cross-functional collaborator, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities at once.\nWhat Your Day-To-Day Will Involve\nEquipment Design: You will apply your experience in manufacturing design to develop new equipment and develop upgrades/improvements to current equipment, specifically with ergonomics, reliability, and Production scale in mind.\n\nComplete Knowledge and Understanding of Equipment Documentation and Processes: You should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of equipment documentation and processes. You will revise equipment documentation to improve equipment repeatability and robustness. You will also be responsible for updating the equipment control systems for equipment that you revise or implement.\n\nTest Equipment: You will provide test equipment solutions that prioritize throughput, ergonomics, and repeatability. You will be capable of developing or working with outside vendors to develop automated solutions for testing product. You will be able to prove repeatability of test methods by authoring Gauge R&R protocols, executing the protocols, and analyzing the data before writing clear and concise reports.\n\nAnalytical and Problem-Solving Skills: You should be capable of assessing unusual circumstances using sophisticated analytical techniques. This involves identifying the root cause of problems and applying advanced problem-solving methodologies to resolve them effectively.\n\nCreativity and Innovation: You should be able to resolve a wide range of issues creatively, suggesting variations in approach when necessary. This implies thinking outside the box and proposing innovative solutions to complex problems.\n\nNon-conforming equipment: You will support the Production line by determining the root cause of equipment non-conformances\n\nComplexity and Problem Solving\nProblem-solving: Work on problems of diverse scope where information analysis requires evaluating identifiable factors by identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during the design and testing phases. This may involve troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, optimizing automation processes, or improving system reliability.\n\nRisk Management: Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with equipment and automation designs and implementing measures to mitigate these risks.\n\nCollaboration and Interaction\nCollaboration: You will work closely with other engineers, including R&D Engineers, manufacturing engineers, electrical engineers, and software engineers to integrate different components into the design and ensure compatibility.\n\nMentorship: You will be expected to mentor more junior engineers, helping them develop their engineering skills and supporting their projects as needed to help them grow as team members.\n\nTraining and Support: You will provide training and technical support to manufacturing personnel or end-users to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and automation systems.\n\nProject Management: You will manage projects related to equipment or automation design, including setting timelines, allocating resources, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.\n\nTraining\nMaintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.\n\nUnderstand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality and EHS policies.\n\nSupport manufacturing personnel through training and troubleshooting.\n\nThe Qualifications We Need You to Possess\nBS in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) with 5+ years’ experience or MS with 3+ years in mechanical design and/or manufacturing\n\nExperience leading and supporting equipment projects in a medical device manufacturing or capital equipment manufacturing environment in a similarly regulated industry\n\nAbility to rapid prototype and iterate on equipment designs quickly\n\nExperience with 3D printing\n\nStrong understanding of equipment design intent and design requirements\n\nStrong abilities in mechanical drawings and 3D modeling\n\nUnderstanding of electrical principles\n\nUnderstanding of hand tools used for assembling fixtures\n\nUnderstanding of project management.\n\nAbility to develop and write a test protocol\n\nAbility to write a lab/engineering report\n\nUnderstanding of root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes\n\nExcellent computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.\n\nBasic coding experience, preferably in support of equipment automation applications\n\nA strong understanding of manufacturing principles\n\nA strong understanding of Milling machines, Lathes, and Bandsaws would be a plus\n\nExperience with microcontrollers would be a plus.\n\nMachine design and automation systems.\n\nRoot cause analysis and process problem-solving.\n\nPay Range for this role:\n$120,690 to
