Unlike larger CRO environments, the role provides exposure to different responsibilities and opportunities to develop in areas that match your interests, including clinical project management.\nThe opportunity\nWe are looking for a Clinical Research Associate who can independently manage monitoring activities and contribute effectively from an early stage. You will work primarily on Phase I and Phase II studies, supporting small biotech sponsors across a range of therapeutic areas. Alongside site monitoring, the position will include elements of eTMF management and broader clinical trial responsibilities.\nThis could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced CRA seeking greater variety, autonomy and progression within a smaller organisation. Candidates with relevant academic research experience are also encouraged to apply, provided they have the practical monitoring experience required to work independently.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct site initiation, routine monitoring and close-out visits\nPerform source data verification and ensure study data are accurate and complete\nMaintain effective relationships with investigational sites and study teams\nSupport eTMF maintenance and management\nEnsure studies are conducted in accordance with protocols, SOPs, GCP and applicable regulations\nIdentify and help resolve site-level issues\nContribute to broader clinical trial activities as required\nCollaborate closely with colleagues during regular office and training days\nKey Skills and Requirements:\n Essential:\nAt least two years of CRA or relevant independent clinical monitoring experience\nThe ability to manage monitoring activities without close supervision\nExperience conducting site visits and source data verification\nA good understanding of GCP and clinical trial processes\nBased in London or within practical travelling distance of London-based study sites\nAn enthusiastic, adaptable and collaborative approach\nComfortable working in a small, hands-on environment where priorities can change\nDesirable:\nEarly-phase clinical trial experience, particularly Phase I or Phase II\nExperience presenting or conducting site initiation visits\nExperience taking studies through to close-out\neTMF management experience\nClinical Trial Coordinator experience\nExposure to oncology, respiratory, psychedelic medicine or other specialist therapeutic areas\nWorking pattern and travel\nThe role is hybrid, with in-person collaboration at the office on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Quarterly training sessions are also held in person and may coincide with an office day.\nMonitoring sites are primarily located in London.
