You'll also work alongside internal scientific and technical teams, sharing insight from the field to help improve future applications.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nSupport the implementation of microbiological testing technology within customer laboratories and manufacturing environments\nProvide scientific and technical support throughout customer onboarding and adoption\nCarry out and evaluate microbiological testing and method validation\nWork with techniques including microbial culture, identification, microscopy and sample preparation\nDevelop and optimise microbiological methods for different sample types and applications\nTroubleshoot scientific and technical issues in both laboratory and customer environments\nTrain microbiologists, laboratory scientists and other users on technology and associated workflows\nUnderstand existing customer QC microbiology processes and identify opportunities to improve workflows\nCommunicate customer requirements and technical feedback to internal scientific teams\nProduce clear technical documentation and communicate findings across scientific and non-scientific stakeholders\nBuild strong relationships with customers throughout implementation and ongoing use\nAbout You\nWe're looking for someone with a strong foundation in hands-on microbiology who also enjoys working with people.\nYou'll ideally have:\nProfessional experience within industrial, applied or quality control microbiology\nStrong practical experience in microbial culture and identification\nExperience with microscopy and microbiological sample preparation\nA good understanding of microbiological quality control workflows\nExperience working within an industrial, manufacturing or regulated laboratory environment\nStrong scientific troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nThe confidence to work directly with customers and provide technical guidance\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nThe ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities\nAn interest in new microbiology technologies, automation and data-driven approaches\nFluent written and spoken English\nFlexibility to travel regularly to customer sites\nPrevious experience as a Field Application Scientist isn't essential.
