You'll play a central role in shaping therapeutic approaches, developing next-generation biologic therapies, mentoring talented scientists, and advancing programs from target identification to preclinical development.\n Working at the forefront of immunology research, you will lead and support multidisciplinary programmes spanning target identification, pharmacology, translational research and therapeutic antibody development. You will combine hands-on scientific expertise with leadership, helping to advance novel biologic therapies from early discovery through preclinical development.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and mentor a team of laboratory-based scientists, supporting both scientific delivery and career development\nDesign, oversee and interpret complex in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies\nDrive the development of novel therapeutic strategies within autoimmune and inflammatory disease programmes\nDesign and optimise immune-based assays to support target validation and antibody discovery\nCollaborate closely with experts across immunology, translational medicine, protein engineering, biomarkers and clinical development\nWork with CRO partners to coordinate efficacy and pharmacology studies\nDevelop and implement endpoint and mechanism-of-action studies, including ex vivo immune profiling\nIdentify project risks, influence programme strategy and support key decision-making discussions\nContribute to scientific publications, patents, regulatory documentation and due diligence activities\nRepresent research programmes through conference presentations and external scientific collaborations\nKey Skills and Requirements:\nPhD in Immunology, Life Sciences or a related discipline\nMinimum 5 years' experience within immunology, inflammation research or biologics drug discovery\nStrong understanding of autoimmune disease biology and immune system mechanisms\nProven experience leading scientific projects and mentoring research teams\nExpertise across in vitro pharmacology, assay development and immune profiling\nExperience supporting biologics, antibody or therapeutic development programmes\nStrong publication record with peer-reviewed scientific contributions\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills\nBiotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience\nIn vivo pharmacology programme leadership\nTranslational research and target validation experience\nExperience working with CROs and external research partners\nContribution to IND-enabling studies, patent applications or due diligence activities\nExposure to strategic portfolio or pipeline decision-making\nIf you are having difficulty in applying or if you have any questions, please contact Neil Walton at .\nIf you are interested in applying to this exciting opportunity, then please click 'Apply' or to speak to one of our specialists please request a call back at the top of this page.\nProclinical is a leading life sciences recruiter focused on finding exceptional people and matching them with the finest positions across the globe.
