This role will support the development and evaluation of novel biological products and therapies while working under established biosafety containment conditions and adhering to applicable safety procedures and institutional requirements.\nSkills &Requirements:\nQualifications and Skills\nAbility to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience working with non-human primates is highly desirable.\nExperience working with infectious agents or within a biosafety environment is highly desirable.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to maintain accurate records and follow established protocols.\nQualifications and Skills\nAbility to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience working with non-human primates is highly desirable.\nExperience working with infectious agents or within a biosafety environment is highly desirable.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to maintain accurate records and follow established protocols.\nThe Veterinary Technician's responsibilities will be:\nConduct animal research activities, including vaccinations, specimen collection, surgical procedures where appropriate, anaesthesia monitoring, animal health observations, and maintenance of medical records.\nPrepare for animal studies by organising supplies, dosing materials, animal orders, and formulation support for research materials.\nWork under BSL-2 containment conditions when handling research materials, infectious agents, and biological specimens, following all applicable biosafety procedures.\nAdminister veterinary medications and perform animal procedures using various methods in accordance with approved study protocols and veterinary guidance.\nSupport the health and welfare of research animals through enrichment activities, monitoring treatment progress, behavioural observations, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and standards.\nManage databases for animal medical records, study protocols, and study data.\nProcess tissue specimens for downstream analysis.\nPerform laboratory operational duties, including inventory management, ordering supplies and reagents, maintaining safe working conditions, and ensuring proper disposal of chemical and biohazardous waste.\nMaintain accurate, thorough, and timely research documentation.\nCompensation:\n$20.00 - $28.00/Hour\nIf you are having difficulty in applying or if you have any questions, please contact Parker Jensen at .\nIf you are interested in applying to this exciting opportunity, then please click 'Apply' or to speak to one of our specialists please request a call back at the top of this page.\nProclinical is a leading life sciences recruiter focused on finding exceptional people and matching them with the finest positions across the globe.
