This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Winnipeg, Manitoba office.\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX - Job Description:\nThe project involves working alongside a PwC team to assist a Winnipeg-based organization with an Internal controls C-SOX to US SOX uplift. The role focuses on enhancing and aligning internal controls with US SOX standards to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX - Responsibilities:\n• Complete control walkthroughs and design assessments\n• Assist management with remediations\n• Document controls\n• Review evidence and conduct control testing\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX - Mandatory Skills:\n• CPA designation, with CIA and/or CISA preferred\n• 5+ years of experience in Internal Controls, preferably with US SOX organizations\n• Technical SOX knowledge\n• Proficiency with Microsoft/Google suites\n• Experience with GRC tech (Workiva)\n• Strong interpersonal skills for management support and coaching\n• Ability to work in a team environment with strong time management and organizational skills\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX – Nice-to-Have Skills:\n• Experience with AI tools, including co-pilot\n• Problem-solving skills\n• Effective communication skills\n• Accessible approach to teamwork\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX – Assignment Length:\nThis is a 3.5-month contract position.\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX - Start Date:\nASAP.\n\nInternal Controls Specialist SOX - Assignment Location:\nWinnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
