The engineer will independently deliver well-defined integrations; design the services that move documents from intake through processing, review, and export; and make sure downstream systems can rely on stable, well-documented interfaces. The engineer will work closely with the Document Intelligence & AI Engineer on architecture, cross-system decisions, and translating discovery findings into secure, testable, maintainable software.\nResponsibilities:\n\nDesign and implement APIs and service interfaces for document-package submission, processing status, results, validation, review actions, and export.\nDefine stable data contracts covering documents, extracted fields, source evidence, confidence indicators, validation results, and corrections.\nBuild integration adapters that reduce dependency on any one processing provider's internal data structures.\nSelect and implement the right processing and recovery patterns – queues, retries, sync vs. async – based on actual volume, latency, and availability needs.\nPersist original machine output separately from corrected values, reviewer decisions, reason codes, and audit events.\nIntegrate with applicable enterprise systems, including application platforms (e.g., Salesforce), document repositories, storage, and identity services.\nApply practical security, privacy, least-privilege, and encryption practices appropriate for sensitive financial documents and PII.\nContribute to automated testing, deployment, configuration management, logging, and monitoring.\n\nMandatory Skills:\n\nDemonstrated experience building production APIs, services, or data-processing integrations, using modern languages such as Python, Java, or C#/.NET – strong Python capability preferred.\nExperience designing data contracts, authentication schemes, and error handling for enterprise integrations.\nWorking knowledge of reliability patterns (queues, retries, sync vs. async tradeoffs) and sound judgment on when each is warranted.\nExperience implementing security and least-privilege practices for sensitive data.\nStrong collaboration skills – comfortable partnering with a document-intelligence/AI specialist and a range of business, security, and infrastructure stakeholders.\n\nNice-to-Have Skills:\n\nExperience with document processing, OCR, or content-services platforms.\nFamiliarity with IBM watsonx or Unstructured.io.\nSalesforce integration experience.\nExperience in regulated, PII-intensive environments such as finance, insurance, or healthcare.\n\nWhy Work at Procom:\n\nBelonging & Impact: An inclusive, collaborative culture where your ideas are valued, and make a real impact.\nBalanced Work Model: A modern hybrid work model that supports productivity and personal flexibility.\nWork From Where You Thrive: Whether visiting family or exploring a new place, our remote-work program lets you temporarily work from another approved location for up to two weeks each year keeping you connected wherever life takes you.\nCompetitive Compensation: Compensation designed to remain competitive within our industry.\nTime to Recharge: Generous vacation and sick-day policies.\nHealth & Well-Being: Comprehensive health benefits, mental health resources, and preferred pricing on various perks through third party providers.\nSet up for Success: Access to the tools and tech you need to succeed plus an IT equipment stipend.\nCommunity & Purpose: Opportunities to get involved in innovation challenges, charity initiatives, team & corporate events and company celebrations.\n\nThis is an active position.
