This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga, Ontario office.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect - Job Description:\nWe are seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Quality Engineering Architect to define, champion, and drive the global quality engineering strategy across multi-tier, high-throughput trading platforms. In this role, you will lead the technical vision for automated quality gates, design scalable test automation frameworks from scratch, and integrate cutting-edge AI-driven testing tooling.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect - Responsibilities:\n• Design, build, and maintain next-generation, cloud-native test automation frameworks using Core Java.\n• Spearhead shift-left quality practices to achieve in-sprint test automation for UI and microservices.\n• Evaluate, integrate, and scale AI/ML-assisted testing solutions.\n• Architect robust API and microservice testing frameworks using Rest Assured and contract testing.\n• Formulate and execute non-functional testing strategies using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.\n• Embed automated quality gates into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.\n• Provide technical direction and architectural governance to SDETs and QE engineers globally.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect - Mandatory Skills:\n• 8-12+ years of progressive experience in software development and quality engineering.\n• Expert-level proficiency in Core Java and OOP design patterns.\n• Demonstrated track record of building scalable test frameworks from scratch.\n• Deep expertise in RESTful API testing and service virtualization.\n• Extensive hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver or similar UI automation tools.\n• Solid background in performance testing and engineering.\n• Strong hands-on experience integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills:\n• Prior background as a full-time Software Development Engineer (Java/Spring Boot).\n• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures.\n• Familiarity with Contract Testing and Service Mesh architectures.\n• Experience with Cloud native platforms (AWS, GCP, or OpenShift/Kubernetes).\n• Familiarity with Security testing fundamentals.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect – Assignment Length:\nThis is a 7 month contract position.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect - Start Date:\nASAP.\n\nQuality Engineering Architect - Assignment Location:\nMississauga, Ontario, Canada.
