This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer - Job Description:\nThe Senior Data Science Developer will design and implement enterprise AI solutions, focusing on Generative AI applications and intelligent agents. This role involves new development to accelerate delivery of priority AI use cases and establish reusable capabilities to minimize reliance on external resources.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer - Responsibilities:\n• Design, develop, test, and implement GenAI applications, intelligent agents, and AI-enabled solutions for priority business use cases.\n• Build reusable AI components, services, APIs, and solution patterns across multiple business areas.\n• Develop solutions using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic AI, machine learning, and related AI techniques.\n• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data sources, applications, APIs, and business workflows.\n• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept and evolve successful solutions toward secure, scalable, production-ready implementations.\n• Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Architects, and business teams to translate requirements into working AI solutions.\n• Apply software engineering practices including version control, testing, documentation, CI/CD, monitoring, and performance optimization.\n• Evaluate AI solution performance, reliability, accuracy, and scalability and continuously improve implemented solutions.\n• Incorporate Responsible AI, privacy, security, and data governance requirements into solution design and development.\n• Contribute to reusable enterprise AI patterns, development standards, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer to strengthen internal AI capability.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer - Mandatory Skills:\n• Advanced hands-on expertise in Python, software engineering, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, APIs, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and production AI development.\n• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Foundry/Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI services, and cloud-based AI solution development.\n• Strong technical foundation in statistics and machine learning, including classification, regression, clustering, feature engineering, model evaluation, and ML pipelines.\n• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications and data platforms.\n• Knowledge of cloud-based AI platforms, software development practices, APIs, Git, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring.\n• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:\n• Public sector experience.\n• Understanding of Responsible AI, security, privacy, and AI governance.\n• Experience with AI solution performance evaluation and optimization.\n• Experience in developing prototypes and proofs of concept.\n• Experience with enterprise AI patterns and development standards.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer – Assignment Length:\nThis is a 6 month contract position.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer - Start Date:\nASAP.\n\nSenior Data Science Developer - Assignment Location:\nToronto, Ontario, Canada.
