This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products - Job Description:\nWe are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with our Fintech clients in the Spread Products space. The role involves architecting, building, and deploying production-grade solutions in collaboration with client trading, risk, and operations teams, while owning the full technical delivery lifecycle from discovery to production hardening.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products - Responsibilities:\n• Act as the primary technical point of contact embedded with client teams to gather requirements, scope solutions, and define technical sequencing.\n• Rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready applications using Java or Python.\n• Balance tradeoffs between scope, speed, and quality to meet aggressive client timelines.\n• Own Discovery & Scoping engagements, translating business asks into technical specifications.\n• Demonstrate strong business acumen and establish continuous product feedback loops with client stakeholders.\n• Produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex architecture decisions.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products - Mandatory Skills:\n• Expert-level proficiency in Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs) and/or strong production experience in Python (FastAPI/Flask, data processing libraries).\n• Hands-on experience with Tekton/OpenShift Pipelines and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline design and management.\n• Strong database expertise across Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB.\n• Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps practices: containerization (Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes), infrastructure as code, and cloud deployment.\n• Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.\n• High agency, ownership mindset, and comfort operating with ambiguity.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products – Nice-to-Have Skills:\n• Domain knowledge of Fintech, Capital Markets, or Spread Products.\n• Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant.\n• Experience using Python for quantitative analytics, pricing models, or ML-driven risk tooling.\n• Monitoring/Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Splunk).\n• Experience with event-driven architectures.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products – Assignment Length:\nThis is a 6 month contract position.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products - Start Date:\nASAP.\n\nSenior Forward Deployed Engineer – Spread Products - Assignment Location:\nMississauga, Ontario, Canada.
