This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL - Job Description:\nThe Senior Software Developer - ETL will focus on designing and developing scalable data pipelines to support AI/ML workloads. This involves new development initiatives aimed at enhancing data integration and transformation processes across enterprise systems to support analytics and AI initiatives.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL - Responsibilities:\n• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions across enterprise data sources.\n• Build reusable data pipelines, services, and integration components for multiple AI and analytics use cases.\n• Ingest, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured data for analytics, AI, and machine learning workloads.\n• Implement data architecture, modelling, and integration patterns established by enterprise architecture.\n• Integrate data across cloud platforms, databases, applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.\n• Design solutions that support scalability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and maintainability.\n• Implement data quality and validation controls to improve data reliability for downstream consumers.\n• Work with Data Architects, AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into production-ready solutions.\n• Optimize existing pipelines and integration processes to reduce duplication and accelerate onboarding of new data sources.\n• Support deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing improvement of enterprise data solutions.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL - Mandatory Skills:\n• Significant hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, production-grade data pipelines for AI/ML and Generative AI workloads.\n• Advanced hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, APIs, data integration and transformation, and cloud-based data platforms.\n• Strong working knowledge of the Azure data and AI ecosystem, Azure Machine Learning, and Microsoft Foundry/Azure AI Foundry.\n• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL – Nice-to-Have Skills:\n• Experience with public sector projects.\n• Familiarity with data governance concepts.\n• Experience with metadata and lineage tracking.\n• Knowledge of data security practices.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL – Assignment Length:\nThis is a 6 month contract position.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL - Start Date:\nASAP.\n\nSenior Software Developer - ETL - Assignment Location:\nToronto, Ontario, Canada.
