With three strategically located offices, Proconex maintains a deep dedication to its 200+ employees, a sharp focus on safety and quality, and the drive to deliver.\nJob Title\nLifecycle Services Engineer I\nJob Overview\nThe Lifecycle Services Engineer I provides field-based engineering services to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and optimization of industrial automation systems. This role performs preventative maintenance, software installations, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and commissioning support while developing technical expertise under the guidance of more experienced engineers. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality customer service.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as a primary or secondary customer contact during field service engagements, building positive customer relationships through professional communication and follow-through.\nPerform preventative maintenance activities and system health assessments on industrial automation systems to support reliability and lifecycle objectives.\nTroubleshoot routine automation, hardware, software, instrumentation, and network issues, escalating complex problems as needed.\nExecute software installations, upgrades, patches, and system configuration activities in accordance with established engineering standards and procedures.\nSupport system migrations, version upgrades, and deployment activities across physical and virtual environments.\nAssist with project execution activities, including system setup, testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup support.\nSupport lifecycle planning efforts by identifying aging hardware, software, and infrastructure risks and assisting with corrective action plans.\nPrepare service reports, technical documentation, redlines, and project records in accordance with company and customer standards.\nAdhere to customer site procedures, quality requirements, cybersecurity standards, and company operating procedures.\nParticipate in emergency service and on-call support activities as required.\nIdentify and communicate safety, quality, cybersecurity, and project risks while supporting a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nMaintain required technical training, certifications, and professional development activities.\nThis role requires regular travel to customer sites and the ability to support field-based service activities as business needs require.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExperience supporting industrial automation systems, instrumentation, controls, field service operations, or related technical environments.\nExperience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, or computer systems.\nExperience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems and system upgrades.\nExperience working in customer-facing technical support or service environments.\nExperience following technical procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Emerson DeltaV or other Distributed Control Systems (DCS).\nExperience supporting PLC, SCADA, or industrial automation systems.\nKnowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.\nExperience with Windows Server administration.\nFamiliarity with SQL databases and database management concepts.\nExperience with VMware or virtualized environments.\nKnowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and wiring practices.\nExperience supporting commissioning, startup, or maintenance activities in industrial process environments.\nPrevious participation in an industrial on-call support rotation.\nWe are proud to be an employee-owned organization.
