The Senior Software Engineer integrates data from multiple sources including third parties to provide a unified and actionable view. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software and data engineering principles and practices. You will be part of a highly performing team of Software and Data Engineers and will collaborate with other platform engineers and product leaders.\nThis is a fulltime position and will report to our Senior Manager of Software Engineering and will be based in the Cairo Egypt office.\nWhat youll do:\nCreate scalable data pipelines and microservices using a variety of technologies such as Java Flink Kafka and Airflow.\nParticipate in designing and building systems that are aligned with Procores technical vision of a serviceoriented architecture.\nWork up and down the stack to ship code for our microservices and Flink jobs and dive deep into the database layer to handle complex querying needs.\nImplement and maintain algorithms and techniques to reduce data redundancy.\nMonitor analyze and optimize the performance of our data pipelines and platform.\nMaintain and evolve our data platforms to have clear domain boundaries and a coherent public interface in alignment with Procores technical vision.\nMentor junior engineers within the team providing guidance and support.\nWork with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the success of our platforms.\nCollaborate with Engineering Product and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems.\nWhat were looking for:\nBachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field\n5 years of experience in Object Oriented Programming fundamentals Test Driven Development and Design Principles\nExpertise in building data pipelines (in Realtime Streaming Processing and batch) on large complex datasets using Spark or Flink frameworks\nExperience building and optimizing data pipelines architectures and data sets. A successful history of manipulating processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets. \nStrong understanding of data engineering principles and practices\nExperience with a variety of data technologies including Apache Flink Apache Kafka GraphQL REST APIs DynamoDB Elastic Search MongoDB Neo4j and Spark\nExperience with running services on Kubernetes and familiarity with Helm charts and Terraform\nExperience in cloud environments like AWS GCP or Azure\nExperience with data deduplication algorithms and techniques\nExperience with deploying machine learning and statistical modeling\nExcellent problemsolving and analytical skills\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\n\nAdditional Information : \nPerks & Benefits\nAt Procore we invest in our employees and provide a full range of benefits and perks to help you grow and thrive.
