This role involves maintaining and optimizing our equipment and facilities to ensure efficient and continuous operations, contributing directly to our production and distribution center goals. The role involves shift work based on a Days and Nights shift pattern.\n Job Responsibilities:\nPerform preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery, including automated pallet storage systems, conveyor equipment, layer pickers and more.\n\nDiagnose mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.\n\nInstall, commission, and decommission machinery and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.\n\nExecute precision fitting tasks, including fabricating, assembling, and repairing mechanical components and structures.\n\nConduct routine inspections of equipment and testing of utility systems (e.g., HVAC, water, compressed air, steam) to ensure optimal performance and compliance.\n\nMaintain and repair Automatic Storage & Retrieval Systems including automated pallet depositing vehicles, lifts, conveyors & elevators etc.\n\nOperate and maintain shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders for fabrication and repair tasks.\n\nAdhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.\n\nDocument maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts usage, accurately and in a timely manner.\n\nCollaborate effectively with production teams, engineers, and other departments to identify and resolve operational issues.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall department efficiency.\n\nProvide technical support and guidance to less experienced team members where required.\n\nWhat We Offer You:\nDynamic and respectful work environment - employees are at the core, we value every individual and encourage initiatives, promoting agility and work/left balance: Competitive holiday allowance, overtime and more.\n\nCompetitive Salary: The starting salary for this role is £47,795 per annum, with an additional shift premium of £173 per week. You will work with passionate people and receive ongoing coaching and mentoring from your line manager and other colleagues.\n\nJob Qualifications\n Job Qualifications\nProven experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Fitter, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\n\nRelevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, ONC or C&G Part 3, Apprenticeship) in Mechanical Engineering.\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical principles.\n\nProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.\n\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and systems effectively.\n\nExperience with various hand and power tools, as well as workshop machinery.\n\nKnowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to industrial environments.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.\n\nFlexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nRight to Work:\nFor this role, P&G are willing to provide sponsorship to those who require a visa to live and work in the UK, subject to meeting all the necessary Home Office requirements.
