This job family is responsible for transforming large complex data sets into pragmatic, actionable insights. Leveraging data to drive significant business impact and understanding the underlying data science principles is crucial in this role.\nThe Opportunity:\nThe Senior AI Engineer is responsible for partnering with Data Science and Business teams to develop, operationalize, integrate, and scale new algorithmic products. This includes engaging in proof of concepts and experiments to evaluate new models and technology, developing high quality, standard-compliant, tested code, contributing code and tools to central re-usable libraries and repositories and open-source projects, in line with P&G IT policies. The role also involves developing data models, model features, data quality tests, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed computer architectures. Deploying algorithmic products across the clouds, skillfully leveraging cloud-native services is a key part of this role.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEngage in proof of concepts and experiments to evaluate new models and technology.\nDevelop high quality, standard-compliant, tested code.\nContribute code and tools to central re-usable libraries and repositories and open-source projects.\nDevelop data models, model features, data quality tests, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed computer architectures.\nDeploy algorithmic products across the clouds, skillfully leveraging cloud-native services.\nWorks on advanced analytics use cases together with Data Scientists, Analysts, peer AI Engineers; engages in proof of concepts and experiments together to deliver new analytical algorithms and applications\nPrepares data models and quality checks, optimizes analytical solutions at scale\nDesigns and develops applications that source data from various systems, programming in Python and SQL\nSupports solutions in multi-cloud environments and services - in Azure (e.g. Databricks, Azure ML, AKS, ADF) and / or in GCP (e.g. Composer, BigQuery, GKE, Kubeflow)\nOperates according to DevOps practices, Agile (Jira), uses CI/CD (GitHub Actions), increases reusability of code and design patterns from internal code libraries\nOperationalizes Machine Learning models as integral element of IT solutions & business process.\nImplements best Platform Engineering practices to make cloud infrastructure “invisible” for data scientists and model developers\nTroubleshoots infrastructure related issues to enable most critical Artificial Intelligence products at P&G\nProactive incident detection systems based on multiple data sets, real-time data stream analyses\nCrafts and develops proof of concept or prototypes for new features or solutions, suggests and implements architecture improvement, and has responsibility for strengthening DevOps best practices within AI Engineering by coaching/teaching others\nJob Qualifications\nA Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field\n5+ years of proven experience in Python & SQL, data modelling, design, development, and deployment of Data and Analytics products\nExperience in Agile and DevOps methodologies - knowledge of using appropriate tools - e.g. Jira, GitHub Actions, unit testing & mocking, static code analysis (e.g. Sonarqube), source control management tools (e.g. GitHub)\nAzure cloud infrastructure knowledge (including load balancing, autoscaling, firewalls, and authentication)\nDatabricks knowledge\nLogging and monitoring technologies knowledge (depending on the needs, from Logstash to Grafana, Kibana)\nCI/CD processes knowledge and development using GitHub Actions and GitHub\nInfrastructure build tools and languages knowledge - Terraform, Ansible\nStrong written and verbal communication in English\nAbility to work a hybrid schedule in Cincinnati, OH based office.\nCompensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
