Depending on engagement level, the IT VRM will oversee one or more key vendor relationships, driving value and successful outcomes for P&G.

  • Monitor vendor performance, financials, and all aspects of vendor relationships to ensure objectives are met.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between strategic vendors and key internal stakeholders, including IT leadership and executive teams.

  • Ensure that business requirements are clearly communicated to vendors and that vendors fully understand these needs.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for issue escalation, dispute resolution, and arbitration between business units and vendors.

  • Manage and measure the overall health and performance of vendor relationships against defined goals.

  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize business needs and translate those requirements effectively to vendors.

  • Collaborate with leadership on vendor and resource planning, including demand management.

  • Drive adoption of Vendor Management Office (VMO) services among leadership and ensure consistent best practices.

  • incentive structures that promote desired vendor behaviors.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex IT contracts and vendor relationships, particularly with managed service providers.

  • Proven ability to foster collaborative vendor relationships and create incentive structures that promote desired vendor behaviors.

  • Expertise in vendor governance to minimize value leakage, maximize innovation, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Deep understanding of IT vendor market trends, service delivery models, pricing strategies, and innovation capabilities.

  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation skills with a track record of driving mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-starter with the ability to independently gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and translate needs into actionable solutions.

  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, identify issues, and make sound recommendations.

  • Ability to manage stressful situations professionally, providing excellent customer-facing support.

  • Team-oriented mindset with proven ability to build and sustain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
