The employee will receive on-the-job training and work under the direction of experienced Field Operators, Line Locators, and Field Supervisors.\nThe position will assist with pipeline locating, pipeline inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment monitoring, and other field activities while completing required safety and Operator Qualification (OQ) training.\nDUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES\nEssential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:\nLine Locator Responsibilities:\nLearn to locate and mark underground pipelines and associated facilities using electronic locating equipment, pipeline maps, and other available resources.\nAssist with routine and emergency line-locating activities for excavation, construction, maintenance, and third-party work.\nLearn to read and interpret pipeline maps, drawings, and facility information.\nAssist with monitoring excavation and construction activities near Company pipelines and facilities.\nCommunicate with Field Operations, contractors, third-party pipeline companies, and other personnel regarding safe digging practices.\nLearn Company encroachment requirements and applicable safe-digging procedures.\nMaintain accurate line-locating records and complete required documentation.\nProperly use, inspect, and maintain line-locating equipment and assigned tools.\nLearn and utilize the Company's line-locating system, including Korweb or other applicable systems.\nField Operator Responsibilities:\nAssist with the inspection, operation, and basic maintenance of natural gas pipelines and associated field equipment.\nLearn the basic operation of pipeline systems, measurement equipment, valves, dehydration equipment, and compression facilities.\nAssist experienced operators with preventative maintenance activities, including pigging, sample collection, greasing valves, changing filters, and inspecting connections.\nPerform routine field inspections and identify abnormal operating conditions, leaks, equipment problems, or safety concerns.\nRead gauges, equipment logs, and operating information under supervision.\nMaintain housekeeping at pipeline facilities, compressor locations, and other assigned work areas.\nAssist with minor maintenance and repairs within the employee's level of training and qualification.\nReport equipment issues or abnormal conditions to the appropriate Field Operator or Supervisor.\nAssist with daily, weekly, and monthly field documentation as required.\nParticipate in the Company's Operator Qualification (OQ) Program and complete assigned training.\nFollow all Company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.\nParticipate in safety meetings, training programs, and Company safety initiatives.\nCommunicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, control centers, contractors, and other operating groups.\nWork assigned schedules and be available for overtime as business needs require.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation once appropriately trained and qualified.\nMaintain a valid driver's license and safely operate Company vehicles.\nPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:\nEntry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; previous oil and gas or pipeline experience is not required.\nPrevious experience in construction, utilities, mechanical work, agriculture, automotive, industrial operations, oil and gas, or other hands-on environments is preferred but not required.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn pipeline and natural gas operations.\nAbility to learn how to use electronic pipeline-locating equipment and associated software.\nAbility to learn to read pipeline maps, drawings, gauges, and equipment documentation.\nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or comparable programs.\nAbility to safely use basic hand and power tools.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility and willingness to complete required safety, environmental, and Operator Qualification training.\nMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license in the employee's state of residence.\nMust be willing to travel throughout the assigned operating area.\nMust live within approximately 60-65 miles of the reporting location to accommodate operational call-outs.\nOnce qualified for the on-call rotation, must be able to respond to call-outs within two hours.\nMust be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency response when required.\nComputer usage and Microsoft Office (or comparable) products.\nNatural gas pipeline maintenance and repair.\nBasic reading and mathematics as applied to equipment maintenance.\nAccepted safety standards and methods of natural gas pipelines.\nPertinent Federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations affecting health and safety.\nNatural Gas Compression and Driven Equipment experience and understanding.\nDehydration facility experience and understanding.\nAbility to:\nLearn natural gas pipeline and midstream field operations.\nLearn proper pipeline locating and marking procedures.\nRecognize and report equipment problems, abnormal conditions, and safety concerns.\nRead and interpret basic gauges, maps, equipment logs, and operating information.\nFollow safety procedures and work safely around operating equipment and pipelines.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.\nWork effectively independently and as part of a field operations team.\nDevelop effective working relationships with coworkers, contractors, vendors, and the public.\nWork outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.\nEXPERIENCE and TRAINING GUIDELINES\nAny combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:\nPreferred Education and/or Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent helpful. \nWORKING CONDITIONS\nEnvironmental Conditions:\nWork is primarily performed outdoors at pipelines, rights-of-way, compressor stations, measurement facilities, and other field locations.\nRegular exposure to changing weather conditions, noise, dust, dirt, natural gas facilities, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.\nPosition may require walking, standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and working around operating equipment.\nMust be able to safely perform physical field duties and use required tools and equipment.\nFrequent driving between field locations is required.\nPersonal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.\nOvertime, call-outs, weekends, holidays, and emergency response may be required based on operational needs.\nPhysical Conditions:\nEssential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for:\n- Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.\n- Using hand and mechanical tools for maintenance and repair.\n- Verbally communicating with both internal and external contacts.\n- Occasionally lift objects no more than 50 pounds unassisted.\n- Conducting inspections requiring operating a vehicle, bending,
