This position is also responsible for investigating, analyzing, and correcting complex SCADA system problems while assuring data visibility, data accessibility to other departments, assisting and resolving field communications issues and providing support to field personnel.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPrinciple Duties & Responsibilities:\nDevelop/Comprehend specifications for various Operational Technology (OT) hardware equipment such as switches, firewalls, routers, servers, media converters, and patch panels.\nSolicit software and hardware quotations from manufacturers and vendors as required.\nDevelop control system logic using various programming languages, including Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Charts, Function Blocks, and Instruction List.\nInterface with field technicians, Network group, and Control Center to troubleshoot data and communication problems between the remote RTU/PLC and the SCADA environment.\nCoordinate with local control systems engineer, if available, for projects integration and screen deployments\nMaintain and support server hardware and software configurations specific to the enterprise SCADA system.\nTroubleshoot SCADA software and server issues.\nPoll for missing meter data in the Measurement system.\nSupport field-based communications systems utilized by the SCADA system to ensure communications failures are at a minimum.\nBuild graphic displays for control center and other end users to support pipeline operations.\nAdd devices to ACM to acquire data from remote RTU/PLC site.\nExtract data from SCADA System for report and exports.\nAble to work SCADA Team on-call rotation.\nMaintain and adhere to required trainings, policies, and procedures.\nActively participate in safety programs and initiatives.\nCommunicate with partnership control centers, business groups, and other operating groups, as necessary.\nComply with company safety policies and procedures.\nMust maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.\n50% + travel to various company plant operations in TX, Oklahoma and New Mexico.\nPerform related duties and responsibilities as required and other duties as assigned.\nComply with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.\nMaintain effective internal and external working relationships.\nComplete all training as directed by management.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of:\nWorking knowledge of SCADA system.\nWorking knowledge of TCP/IP and Modbus protocols and network topologies.\nSupervisory Controls and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Operator Interface Terminals (OIT’s), Industrial communication networks set up and testing and assistance in start-up and commissioning.\nWorking knowledge of all wireless communications\nExcellent organizational skills.\nExhibit good project management and communications skills.\nMechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment.\nProficiency with computers including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook as well as other computer-based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and on-line work applications and documentation.\nAbility to:\nDemonstrated self- starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.\nWork independently and in a small team environment as the job requires.\nMaintain attention to detail required.\nMaintain first-level of technical leadership, considered the SME, capable of managing complex tasks or projects with no supervision.\nAnalyze data to solve problems required.\nPerform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness.\nBuild, configure, and maintain reports.\nWrite simple scripts and SQL queries required.\nMaintain willingness to step outside “comfort zone”, learn and participate in other areas of the department when needed.\nFollow defined procedures.\nMaintain a positive “service-oriented organization” attitude required.\nMaintain excellent communication skills and work with a wide range of personalities.\nProvide good diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities which is required.\nMaintain organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and multiple projects.\nDevelop and troubleshoot Excel bases macro programs and equations.\nAnalyze statistical data presented in various format.\nAbility to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs.\nMust be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner.\nEXPERIENCE and TRAINING GUIDELINES\nPreferred Education and/or Experience:\n3+ years of SCADA experience in the oil and gas industry required 7+ years preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering preferred but not required.\nExperience with polling software such as AUTOSOL (ACM) products desired.\nExperience working in a medium to large company Gas and Liquid control environment preferred.\nExtensive knowledge of Geo SCADA system configuration and administration, SCADA industry standards for documentation, basic regulatory and discrete control is required.\nMust be knowledgeable in reading and developing process control drawings, electrical and instrumentation Cause and Effect Diagrams, as well as specifications and control narratives are required.\nExperience with networking and communications concepts in a real-time environment desired.\nEnvironmental Conditions:\nWork indoors in an office setting using a computer with moderate noise and light traffic.\nWorking conditions may include confined spaces.\nWorking outdoors at various
