Our multidisciplinary teams share ideas openly and welcome diverse perspectives because better products emerge when people, disciplines, and insights work together.\nWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with new product development and robotics experience.\nJOB DUTIES:\nProvide technical project leadership in the development of the electrical systems of consumer, robotic, and medical devices.\nExercise your engineering prowess to take initial design concepts from rough idea to complete, fully-working manufactured product.\nFollow up the development of robust, testable product requirements with design of system architecture and selection of appropriate components.\nDesign the circuit schematic and BOM, and complete or facilitate PCB layout.\nPerform board bring-up and integration testing in collaboration with mechanical and firmware/software\nWrite test procedures and assist in formal verification of design function.\nManage bills of material and redesign for parts obsolescence or constrained supply chain.\nApply design principles to prevent electromagnetic interference and assist with certification to EMC standards.\nDocument every step of the design clearly and help to continuously improve engineering best practices.\nQualificationsBachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited four-year university.\n8+ years of electrical engineering experience.\n**Proficiency with Altium design tools** for schematic review, PCB modifications, and layout adjustments\n**Demonstrated expertise in PCBA board-level troubleshooting and debug** with systematic root cause analysis skills\nHighly motivated with demonstrated ability to lead projects and prioritize work to drive toward project completion.\nAbility to work independently and foresee potential issues by taking a systems view.\nExcellent organization and analytical skills combined with attention to detail.\nExcellence in clear communications and detailed documentation.\nA positive attitude and focus on client success.\nEthical and honest in every part of the job.\nWork effectively in a team setting and collaborate openly with other engineers\nProficiency in both analog and digital design.\nExperience developing microprocessor, FPGA or DSP-based systems.\nExperience with power management systems, switching power supplies, and battery powered devices.\nExperience with wireless communications components and standards.\nExperience with sensor selection and interface design.\nExperience in bringing products from concept to production.\nHands on lab experience with troubleshooting and debugging.\n Other Experience a PlusHardware development for medical devices (including regulatory requirements) and experience working in a medical quality system\nFPGA design\nPower electronics design\nAntenna modeling and design\nExperience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)\nHigh speed digital design (e.g. PCI Express, memory bus design, Gigabit Ethernet, USB)\nKnowledge of motor drive and control\nPython programming for test automation or data analysis\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary range: $140K - $170K \nExcellent Healthcare plan (Medical, Dental, and Vision) fully paid for by the company for the employee; partial payment for dependents \n401(k) plan with company match \nLong-term and short-term disability, AD&D and Life Insurance \nPaid maternity/new parent leave \n11 Paid holidays \n3 weeks of paid time off (PTO) per year, increasing after 2, 5, and 9 years of service \nNo recruiters please.\nSimplexity is an equal opportunity employer.
