It measures what works and gets better every day.\nAs an Infrastructure Engineer, you will build and scale the systems that power our rapid growth. You will ensure our infrastructure is highly available, cost-effective, and able to handle explosive traffic and compute demands. You will work closely with engineers across product, research, and operations to design scalable architectures, streamline deployments, and improve observability.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign and maintain core infrastructure across cloud environments\n\nBuild infrastructure-as-code workflows to automate deployments and scaling\n\nImprove monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain reliability\n\nManage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployments\n\nSupport disaster recovery planning and ensure high availability of systems\n\nPartner with product and research teams to design architectures that scale with workload demands\n\nIdentify and fix performance bottlenecks in compute, storage, and networking\n\nImplement security best practices and compliance frameworks across infrastructure\n\nWho you are\nStrong experience with cloud platforms, with AWS preferred\n\nProficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform\n\nDeep experience with containers and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes\n\nSolid understanding of distributed architectures\n\nProgramming proficiency in Python and Rust, or willingness to learn Rust quickly\n\nProven ability to ship reliable infrastructure in production environments\n\nGrowth mindset and eagerness to thrive in a hyper-growth, high-ownership environment\n\nExperience with high-throughput, low-latency systems\n\nDatabase scaling and optimization experience\n\nObservability and monitoring expertise\n\nNetwork architecture and performance tuning experience\n\nSecurity and compliance experience\n\nLocation\nThis is an on-site role based in our NYC or SF office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact. We are happy to support visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.\nFor this role, the expected base salary range is $175,000 to $260,000 (NYC and SF). Comp may vary by location. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks.
