Responsibilities include charging out parts to proper units and maintaining inventory, security and integrity of parts department. \n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nReceives, unpacks and counts stock items, and records data manually or electronically.\nRetrieves stocked items or parts, packs items and delivers to designated recipients.\nMaintains inventory levels; assists in maintaining inventory control.\nStores items in an orderly and accessible manner in parts department, supply rooms, or other areas.\nCommunicates inventory levels and related matters with other departments.\nMaintain integrity of parts room and related secured areas.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\nEducational and Other Requirements:\nBasic education, reading, writing and math skills needed to perform responsibilities.\nPrevious work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.\nGeneral knowledge of state and federal regulations for storing stock.\nGeneral knowledge of machinery, equipment, parts or warehouse activities preferred.\nGeneral knowledge and skills used to help others required.\nMust gain at least two years of experience, or equivalent knowledge, skill and training before promoting to Parts Clerk II.\nSensitive to confidential information.\nMust work independently and as a member of team.\n\nMental and Physical Requirements:\nAble to read, speak and write English.\nStrong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.\nAble to work under stressful conditions at times.\nCommunication – verbal and written communication.\nClimbing - able to go up and down stairs\nAble to lift at least 50 lbs.\nPosition will require a minimum of 40 hours per week with frequent extended hours as business needs dictate.\nUsing relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.\nDevelops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.\nUses computers and computer systems to set up functions, enter data, or process information.\nDevelops constructive and cooperative working relationships and maintaining them over time.\nDependable, reliable, fulfills responsibilities.\n\nThis job description should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities or as an employment agreement between the employer and employee.
