This will be a hybrid role so working between your home office and our Raleigh, NC office.\nIn this role, you will be accountable for the execution and business impact of the engineering portfolio for Progress Sharefile\nYou will set the multi-year technology vision and lead the transformation, development, and scaling of high-performing global engineering organizations.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDriving delivery of differentiated, secure, reliable, and commercially successful products. \nPartnering closely with Product, Design, Security, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success to align engineering priorities with business outcomes. \nDeveloping executive-level talent and building leadership capacity across the organization. \nEnsuring engineering investments reflect customer needs, market dynamics, operational excellence, and company strategy. \nAs an enterprise leader, you will play a central role in driving transformation, strengthening execution, and helping the company deliver meaningful customer and business impact. \nYour background\nTechnical and Business Acumen\nDeep understanding of modern SaaS, cloud-native platforms, enterprise software, cybersecurity, data, AI, automation, and contemporary engineering operating models. \nProven ability to connect technology strategy to business strategy, customer value, market differentiation, operational scale, and financial outcomes. \nAbility to anticipate market and technology shifts and translate them into actionable product, platform, and engineering strategies. \nTransformation and Modernization\nExperience driving large-scale modernization, platform consolidation, architectural transformation, AI-assisted development adoption, and engineering productivity improvement. \nStrong executive judgment in portfolio prioritization, technical risk management, build-versus-buy decisions, vendor strategy, and investment tradeoffs. \nExperience\n15+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, including leading global, large, distributed engineering organizations. \nExperience delivering enterprise-grade SaaS, cloud, platform, data, AI, or mission-critical software products at scale. \nEnterprise architecture, platform modernization, cloud-native systems, and technology transformation. \nAI-enabled engineering productivity, automation, developer experience, and modern SDLC practices. \nSaaS operations, reliability engineering, scalability, observability, incident management, and cost optimization. \nSecurity, privacy, compliance, technical risk management, and secure software delivery. \nExecutive communication, stakeholder influence, board-level storytelling, and cross-functional decision making. \nGlobal organizational design, workforce strategy, operating model design, and transformation leadership. \nAgile, Lean, DevOps, CI/CD, quality engineering, engineering metrics, and continuous improvement. \nBase Salary Range: $260,000 - $300,000 \nThis position is also eligible to participate in our performance-based annual corporate bonus plan. Final base compensation is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, education, demonstrable experience, and allowance for future and continued salary growth.
