This is a hands-on role — you will design end-to-end application architectures across web and mobile, write and review code alongside delivery teams, and mentor developers as they grow. You will not just draw diagrams; you will roll up your sleeves and prove your designs work.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nArchitecture & Design\n\nApplication Architecture: Design and own application architecture for full-stack and mobile solutions spanning frontend, backend, APIs, databases, mobile apps, and integrations.\nRequirements Translation: Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, including component diagrams, data models, sequence flows, and technology selection rationale.\nStandards & Governance: Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and coding best practices across project teams.\nTechnology Evaluation: Assess and introduce modern technologies, frameworks, and tools where they add genuine value — not novelty.\nData Modeling: Define data models and make informed decisions between relational and NoSQL approaches based on use cases.\nData Lifecycle & Retention: Establish strategies for data storage, archival, and retention aligned with business and compliance needs.\nData Consistency Patterns: Apply appropriate consistency models such as eventual consistency and CQRS where required.\n\nHands-On Delivery\n\nTechnical Delivery: Lead and participate in hands-on delivery — prototyping, building reference implementations, conducting code reviews, and resolving complex technical blockers.\nPlanning & Estimation: Contribute to estimation, technical risk assessment, and solution proposals during project planning.\nDocumentation: Document architectures clearly enough that teams can build from them independently.\nArchitecture Artifacts: Create and maintain ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), C4 model diagrams, and API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger).\n\nLeadership & Collaboration\n\nMentoring: Mentor and coach mid-level and junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.\nStakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to evaluate trade-offs and recommend pragmatic solutions.\n\nObservability & Monitoring\n\nLogging, monitoring, tracing (OpenTelemetry, ELK, CloudWatch)\nAlerting & incident response design\n\nKPIs & Success Metrics\n\nSystem Scalability & Performance: Ensuring applications can handle projected load with sub-second latency.\nTechnical Debt Reduction: Measurable decrease in legacy issues and code complexity over time.\nArchitectural Alignment: Zero major deviations from the approved design during the development lifecycle.\nTime-to-Market Efficiency: Improving delivery speed through reusable components and standardized frameworks.\nPerformance Tuning Effectiveness: Implementation and impact of performance tuning strategies, including caching and database optimization.\nLoad Testing & Benchmarking: Regular execution of load testing and benchmarking to validate system performance against defined thresholds.\nProfiling & Optimization Practices: Effective use of profiling tools and techniques to identify bottlenecks and improve system efficiency.\n\nExperience (Non-Negotiable)\n\nTechnical Skills & Qualifications\n\n7+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience, of which a mandatory 2+ years must have been in a dedicated Solution Architect role — with a proven track record of:\nAuthoring Solution Architecture Documents (SADs) and Technical Design Documents (TDDs)\nProviding technical direction to delivery teams and leading design reviews\nPlanning architecture and delivery roadmaps across full project lifecycles\nEnforcing adherence to best practices, standards, and governance frameworks\nCandidates who cannot evidence the above with real examples from prior roles will not be progressed.\n\nBackend\n\nServer-Side Technologies: Strong proficiency in Java or .NET (mandatory), with working knowledge of Node.js as an advantage.\nObject-Oriented Programming: Solid command of OOP principles (encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction) with demonstrable application in enterprise-grade backend systems. This is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have.\n\nFrontend\n\nUI Frameworks: Hands-on experience with React, Angular, or Next.js.\n\nMobile\n\nMobile Architecture: Experience in architecting mobile application solutions. Flutter experience is desirable.\n\nSolution Architect\n\nAPI Design: Solid experience designing RESTful and event-driven APIs.
