Node.js Developer

We are looking for a passionate Node.js Developer with 2-4 years of experience to build and scale the backend infrastructure of our AI-driven astrology platform. You will work closely with the founding team to design, develop, and optimise scalable APIs and real-time systems powering our mobile and conversational products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js .
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services (WhatsApp, iMessage, payment gateways, etc. )
• Develop real-time, event-driven systems for conversational AI experiences.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Optimise backend performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Manage databases, caching layers, and message queues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Node.js and backend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and API integrations.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Good to Have:

• Experience with real-time systems (WebSockets, message queues like Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to AI/ML systems or LLM integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in early-stage startups.
