Use of punch dies and pressures used in the hydraulic forming of steel and alloys. \nVery proficient at performing oxy/fuel flame and plasma cutting, part layout, inspection, hole drilling, tapping and milling to include an understanding of speed and feed rates. \nReads, understands, and follows guidelines set forth by E.I.s, M.P.s, S.P.s, O.I.C.s, and blueprints when performing assigned work.\nComply with all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in defined zero harm safety culture driven initiatives.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nTOOLS AND MACHINERY\nCNC machines such as saws, press brake, manual mills, plasma cutter and CNC Flex machine. Tools include micrometers, Vernier’s, scales, protractors, compass, height gage, dial indicator, tape measure, go-no-go gauges and squares.\nMATERIALS\nPersonal protective equipment to include safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, welding apron, face shield, and appropriate gloves.\nGENERAL\nWorks under minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter with excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Acts decisively with a sense of urgency to maximize machine production and minimize down time. Strong knowledge of mathematics, to include geometry, to determine unknown part dimensions and/or relationships. Knowledge of metal types and characteristics. Understanding of the part use, fit and function as well as the manufacturing processes utilized is essential.
