This position will be on second shift.\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: \nKits all jobs onto carts for upcoming operations. \nRetrieves materials (shortages, replacements, shop supplies) from Storeroom or other departments, for production employees as needed.\nProcesses ECM’s in manufacturing and resolves engineering problems on prints and Bill of Materials. \nEnsures materials flow from work center to work center smoothly and on a timely basis.\nParticipates in dispatch list updating and product tollgates.\nHandles the paperwork properly for the above activities and provides assistance to the Supervisor in the on-the-job orientation and training of other team members. Schedule parts to the master schedule.\nAssist in moving units and assist as confined space attendant (as last resort)\nEnsure work area is clean, neat and orderly. Hazmat certifiable. \nComply with all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in defined zero harm safety culture driven activities. \nEducation and Knowledge or Experience Required:\nCandidates for this position must have a high school diploma or GED Equivalent. Must be able to work at heights that are more than 6 feet. Must be able to follow both oral and written directions while maintaining a high productivity level meeting set quality standards. Works under limited supervision. Must have good communication skills for dealing with all levels of supervision. Interacts with production support departments. Able to use SAP system in an “inquiry” capacity to look job status, material status and requirements, etc.\nThe above description covers the principle functions of the job.
