This role provides hands-on experience in a heavy manufacturing environment by assisting with process analysis, data collection, workflow improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position will work closely with industrial engineers, production supervisors, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements while gaining exposure to real-world engineering practices.\n\nPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist in analyzing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved productivity and efficiency.\nSupport time studies, work sampling, and labor analysis to help develop and maintain labor standards.\nCollect and analyze production data related to throughput, cycle time, and process performance.\nAssist with process mapping and documentation of manufacturing workflows.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, waste reduction, and standard work.\nHelp develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools.\nAssist with plant layout reviews and material flow analysis to improve production efficiency.\nParticipate in problem-solving activities related to production, quality, or process issues.\nSupport data analysis and reporting related to operational performance metrics.\nCollaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams on improvement projects.\nAssist with special projects related to manufacturing process improvements, cost reduction, or capacity planning.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nStrong analytical, problem solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.\nAbility to analyze complex manufacturing processes and develop practical solutions.\nAbility to collect, organize, and analyze data to support decision-making.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and data analysis tools.\nWillingness to learn and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing setting.\n Page Break\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n\nRequired Education / Experience\nActively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.\nPreferred Education / Experience\nMinimum 3.0 GPA\nCompletion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework \nExperience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analysis\nPrior internship, project work, or coursework related to manufacturing, process improvement, or operations\n\nADDITIONAL environments.\nFrequent standing and walking on the production floor to observe manufacturing processes and collect data.\nWorking Conditions\nWork is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments.\nRegular exposure to a production floor environment, including moving machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.\nThe manufacturing environment
