Unlike traditional production environments, our operation manufactures engineered-to-order products that require close review of prints and specifications at each step of the process. The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring safe operations, quality standards, employee development, and delivering production objectives. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a highly technical, custom manufacturing environment where attention to detail, safety, quality, and employee development are essential to success.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead and supervise a team of approximately 25 manufacturing employees to achieve production, quality, safety, and company objectives.\nAssign and coordinate daily work activities, assist employees with interpreting assembly drawings, machine setups, and resolving complex production challenges.\nFoster and promote a strong Zero Harm safety culture throughout the department.\nEstablish and maintain workmanship and quality standards while investigating and correcting process nonconformances.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering to improve processes, optimize layouts, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.\nSupport workforce planning, labor forecasting, budgeting, and performance management activities.\nTrain, coach, and develop manufacturing employees to meet current and future production demands.\nMaintain accurate employee attendance and timekeeping records.\nCollaborate with Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.\nEnsure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and support labor relations activities as needed.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate’s degree in a related field and 2-3 years of manufacturing leadership experience.\nStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and support multiple processes across a manufacturing environment.\nStrong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a related field.\nExperience in heavy manufacturing, power systems, industrial equipment, or other highly technical production environments.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Prolec GE Waukesha, you'll help lead the manufacturing of critical power infrastructure products that support utilities and industries across North America.
