This role is responsible for all activities that occur in their department. S/he must be thoroughly knowledgeable of all processes, procedures and instructions that are applicable in their respective department. It is expected that the supervisor act as a role model and as an agent of the Company.\n\nPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupervise employees: Set work assignments and objectives with proper safety, performance and quality expectations clearly communicated and managed to. Assist employees to resolve testing problems & mitigate concerns which impact the team’s ability to achieve communicated expectations\nMaintain accurate time and attendance records using company designated systems.\nEnsure all employees have current and necessary training, maintain an orderly and safe work environment.\nEstablish expectations of workmanship to meet quality requirements and follow work in process closely to ensure that these are maintained. \nInvestigate processes that are out of conformance and take appropriate action to eliminate.\nWork closely with others in manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with the established Manufacturing procedures and engineering Instructions.\nReview processes and departmental layout to assure low production costs and highest shop labor efficiency.\nParticipate in the hiring process and develop training plans for new employees. \nRegularly assess employee performance to Company expectations through individual review and formal audit programs, resolve employee problems, conduct investigations into safety, quality, or other incidents, and administer discipline within the corporate guidelines. \nConduct investigations necessary related to quality, safety, or other production related matters. \n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nResponsible for all activities that occur in their department and therefore must be able to be mobile around the manufacturing areas.\nKnowledgeable of all processes, procedures and instructions that are applicable in their respective department. \nAct as a role model and as an agent of the Company\nAn excellent team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.\nPerformance management, coaching, feedback, encouraging and empathic communication skills.\nBasic team-building and fundamental leadership skills.\nEffective communication skills, including verbal (logical and organized), written, listening and presentation.\nAdvance knowledge of Microsoft Tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)\nUtilization of time keeping system and Microsoft Suite are required daily.\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nRequired Education / Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Operations Management is preferred.\nCandidates with a bachelor’s degree in related field or with an associate’s degree in a related area plus at least 5 years of manufacturing leadership and experience conducting electrical tests will be considered. \nPreferred Education / Experience\nStrong knowledge of electricity and practical knowledge of transformers and switchgear is preferred\n\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\nKey Working Relationships\nEngineering, human resources, sales operations, sourcing, finance and operations.\nLevels of management\nDepartment(s) employees this role is assigned to supervise.\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to be mobile around the manufacturing area.\nMust be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.\nMust occasionally climb, balance, push, pull, carry, work below wait level and foot use.\nOccasionally work at heights (lift, transformer cover) up to 30 feet with fall protection.\nMust be
