Our ATCs work shoulder to shoulder with physicians, mid-level providers, physical therapists, MAs, and orthopedic technicians. Together, our dynamic clinical team helps our patients - from athletes to weekend warriors live their best lives. Our Athletic Trainers use their specialty knowledge and a deeply rooted compassion for helping our patients.\nSchedule\nMonday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.\n**The primary position is in the clinic, but will also be able to use ATC as a contractor for our sponsored sports teams (Rangers, WWU, WCC, Whatcom Sports, Blazers, Bellingham United) if applicant is wanting additional hours outside of their 40hrs with Proliance.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nSupport the physician and/or mid-level provider in the delivery of exceptional orthopedic care at our clinic locations and physical therapy departments.\nProvide support on the sidelines at athletic events.\nSupport our afterhours orthopedic urgent care clinic as needed.\nProvide casting, bracing, splinting, or other DME equipment.\nAdminister injections, remove casts, splints, and dressings as directed by physician.\nPrepare equipment and supplies for clinical procedures such as aspirations, injections, and X-rays.\nTake patient medical histories, obtain chief complaints, take vital signs, and prepare patients for examination and treatment.\nManage the flow of patients throughout the clinic, rooming patients in a friendly and polite manner.\nPrepare prescriptions or prescription refills as directed by physician.\nAssist with the scheduling of tests and treatments.\nRespond to patient and payer phone calls.\nOrder and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.\nMaintain patient files in the EHR and document as necessary.\nParticipate in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.\nAdhere to OSHA safety rules and HIPAA regulations.\nMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nEducation/Experience\nMust possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field.\nMinimum 2 years of experience collegiate setting and/or ER or Ortho Clinical Experience\nNATA-BOC Certified and have a current WA State License\nPrevious successful experience working in a clinical setting; experience in the orthopedic specialty is preferred, orthopedic casting experience is a plus.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nDemonstrated passion around sports performance and success in supporting multiple orthopedic sub-specialties.\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nDemonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR experience preferred.\nDemonstrated proficiency in managing patient flow in the clinic without diminishing focus on patient care.\nDemonstrated knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA regulations and ability to apply those regulations on a day to day basis.\nDemonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and ability to educate patients and/or families on proper care and treatment as directed by the physician.\nProvide exceptional service to all of our patients.\nExhibit professionalism and ethical behavior at all times.\nMaintain OSHA and HIPAA regulations.\nMaintain strict confidentially of patient information and business within the organization’s policies.\nAdhere to all policies and procedures for our organization.\nTreat everyone with respect, courtesy, and friendliness.\nProvide additional duties as may be assigned.\nConfidence and maturity are essential personal characteristics.
