The role combines high-volume transaction processing, general ledger reconciliation, settlements, and close activities with ongoing improvements to the team’s billing processes and controls. The Accountant will work closely with Tax, Treasury, VAT, Legal, Compliance, auditors, controllers, accounting management, and accounting teams across the business. Success in the role requires accuracy, adaptability, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to learn and work effectively across multiple tools and systems.\nKey responsibilities include:\nProcess intercompany recharge requests through the new billing process, investigate errors, develop monitoring controls, and support future enhancements.\nReconcile general ledger balances on intercompany accounts, complete preliminary and final reconciliations, investigate unreconciled items, prepare corrective action plans, and calculate intercompany accruals.\nPrepare intercompany payments and collections and coordinate with Treasury on settlements, failed payments, and more complex transactions.\nManage Treasury accounting activities, including accurate general ledger classification of bank transactions and enhancement of mapping rules to increase automation and reduce manual intervention.\nComplete monthly and quarterly closing activities in line with the corporate closing calendar.\nProvide accurate financial information to internal and external auditors, controllers, accounting management, and accounting teams, and support statutory processes across more than 1,200 business units in 12 countries.\nPartner effectively with Tax, Treasury, VAT, Legal, Compliance, and accounting teams on intercompany activities and issue resolution.\nSupport implementation of new tools, help redesign processes, and propose improved ways of working within the expanded Cash and Intercompany team.\nBuilding blocks for success\nRequired:\nAt least 3+ years of experience in a similar accounting position.\nAccounting skills sufficient to process intercompany transactions, reconcile general ledger balances, and prepare accruals accurately.\nAnalytical skills to investigate transaction errors and reconciliation differences and define corrective actions.\nExcel skills sufficient to analyze and reconcile high volumes of transactional data accurately.\nFluent English, spoken and written.\nAbility to work accurately in a dynamic, high-volume environment while learning and navigating multiple tools and systems.\nPreferred:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent experience.\nExperience working in an international environment.\nExperience using PeopleSoft.\nProficiency in an additional European language.\nDemonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.
