We own over 5,000 buildings across the globe and over 500 buildings in Mexico which provides a huge opportunity for bundling energy and optimizing supply and demand solutions for our customers. The candidate has experience leading project development, contract origination and fundraising efforts, managing the implementation of energy projects, including on-site solar, gas generation, electromobility, energy storage and data centers, plus deep knowledge of the Mexico electricity market and strong quantitative and financial modelling skills. Strong experience in renewable energy development, including energy contracts, PPAs, REC management, and overall energy management solutions at facilities is highly valued. You will report to the Head of Energy Solutions Mexico and will play a meaningful role as part of a top-notch team of global energy and sustainability professionals who are driving value for Prologis.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork together with Prologis’ LatAm leadership on origination and commercial energy efforts across the region.\nContribute strong project development experience to lead internal and external teams on project development initiatives.\nLead and oversee commercial and energy-related financial modelling efforts and coach other team members.\nLead the commercial discussions and implementation of an innovative renewable energy strategy focused on providing 100% renewable energy solutions for Prologis customers.\nWork with Prologis stakeholders and external parties to build out and scale up Qualified Supply to market to buyers in collaboration with third party providers.\nLead the transition of electricity supply to 100% renewable by creating a customer value proposition and enrollment process for both Prologis managed and non-managed utility meter accounts.\nWork together with other Prologis teams such as OnPrem energy, Mobility and Data Center development, and Real Estate to strategize and implement business opportunities across the region.\nProject manage third party suppliers providing associated services in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of solar systems, qualified supply contract management, customer billing and administration, ongoing operations & maintenance and related tasks.\nLead interactions with government entities such as CFE, CENACE, etc.\nCollaborate with the energy policy team to track energy regulatory frameworks and assess impacts of potential changes.\nProvide routine reporting on KPIs, financial and operating metrics.\nManage project tracking tools such as Salesforce and SiteTracker.\nBuilding Blocks for Success\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree or higher; MBA or quantitative master's degree required.\n10+ years of experience in energy project development, markets, trading, power contracts, regulations, renewable development, or generation technologies.\nStrong understanding of electricity markets, tariffs, renewable energy, and environmental commodities.\nStrong quantitative and financial modelling skills.\nProficiency in Spanish and English.\nProven commercial negotiation skills.\nFull knowledge of the Mexico energy market and regulatory frameworks.\nExperience with utilities, suppliers, planning agencies, and renewable OEMs.\nKnowledge of energy management and decarbonization strategies.\nDemonstrated innovation, collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills.\nAble to travel.\nDemonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.
