Shuttleworth serves a variety of markets including automotive, consumer, electronics, food, health & beauty, industrial, medical, paper conversion, paper printing & binding, pharmaceutical, and solar energy.\nWe are currently seeking an Electrical Assembler to perform electrical wiring and assembly operations to produce and test conveyor systems for the material handling industry according to engineering specifications. This position works under minimal supervision and direction of the Assembly Leader and plays a key role in training and mentoring less experienced employees and contractors.\nDo we have your attention? Keep reading.\nPerform wiring on panels, devices, and conveyor systems.\n\nRead, understand, and interpret electrical, assembly, and pneumatic prints.\n\nAssist project lead assemblers throughout the build process from project kickoff through Quality Checkout, Customer FAT, and final signoff.\n\nAssist Electrical Engineering through the testing cycle and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful customer acceptance testing.\n\nWire electrical panels independently without supervision.\n\nMonitor project success factors including schedule, budget, and quality, providing recommendations to the Electrical Assembly Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager to maintain or exceed project goals.\n\nSupport the Quality Checkout Process and adhere to all Shuttleworth quality and assembly standards.\n\nIdentify electrical and operational equipment issues and recommend corrective actions and design improvements.\n\nLead, train, and mentor employees and contractors during onboarding and skills development.\n\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.\n\nCross-train and assist other departments as production requirements dictate.\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned by the Electrical Assembly Foreman/Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.\n\nTravel 20-25% as needed to support equipment installations and service calls alongside trained personnel.\n\nWho we’re looking for?\nHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).\n\nTechnical training or 2-3 years of related maintenance or automation experience, or the demonstrated ability to perform the required technical functions.\n\nStrong understanding of electrical practices and principles.\n\nKnowledge of UL/CE standards and NEMA ratings.\n\nAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and engineering documentation.\n\nAbility to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\n\nAbility to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nReliable attendance and a strong commitment to completing projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.\n\nOSHA 10-hour card currently held or obtained within one year of employment.\n\nAbility to provide and maintain required hand tools, including metric sockets, metric wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other standard tools.
