We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Oakville.\nThis role is ideal for a design-focused engineer who enjoys developing complete electrical systems and seeing their designs come to life in complex, automated packaging environments.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead the development of complete electrical and controls design packages including both schematics and PLC/HMI programs creation\nOwn the end-to-end electrical design for machine and/or full packaging lines, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and internal standards\nReview and validate design documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance\nInterpret customer requirements, functional specifications, and vendor documentation\nDesign and/or coordinate power distribution systems, including MCCs and PDPs\nDevelop and/or review electrical layouts and system architecture for automated packaging lines\nProvide technical guidance during build, testing, and commissioning phases\nCollaborate and participate with controls teams to support PLC/HMI integration as needed\nContribute to design improvements, standardization, and innovation initiatives\nQualifications\n7+ years of experience in Electrical or Controls Engineering with a strong programming focus\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent\nStrong communication and critical thinking skills\nExperience in industrial equipment, packaging, or manufacturing environments\nExperience developing and/or interpreting schematics, panel layouts, and system architecture\nProficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent design tools)\nUnderstanding of industrial networks and system integration\nExperience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Siemens)\nExperience with FactoryTalk, Igntion, or similar platforms is an asset\nExposure to robotics, servo systems, and VFDs is an asset\nP.Eng. designation is an asset\nStrong communication and technical documentation skills\nKnowledge of North American electrical standards\nCompensation\nThe base salary for this role is $105,000 - $130,000 CAD.\nTravel Requirement\nApproximately 20-25% travel, primarily to customer sites in the U.S. Occasional international travel may be required.\nVacancy Status: This position is for an existing job vacancy.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThere's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
