Keep reading.\nQuest Industrial, with production locations in Middleton and Monroe, WI, is looking for a talented Field Service Engineer. In this role, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial automated equipment. You’ll showcase your strong robotics, controls, and customer advisor skillset to solve complex challenges for our customers.\nAre you excited about this work?\nTravel to customers’ facilities to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex machinery and equipment.\nTrain customers’ operators and technicians on machine setup, operation, change-over, and maintenance.\nProvide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, remote connection, or on-site for electrical/controls, mechanical, and robotic equipment and systems.\nModify and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programs for existing packaging equipment.\nCommission, test, and debug robotic and automated packaging systems.\nProvide on-call emergency service and maintain communication while in the field.\nPrepare detailed trip reports for the company and customers, documenting encountered issues and solutions. Maintain records of service calls, training, expenses.\nEnsure compliance with inspection, testing, quality specifications during machine installations and integrations.\nIdentify and correct hardware and software discrepancies in machinery and equipment.\nMaintain positive customer relationships and identify opportunities for product improvements and parts sales. \nWork from complex engineering drawings, specifications, and manuals to perform mechanical and electrical tasks. \nCollaborate with other departments, such as Engineering, Sales, and Operations to address inquiries and provide technical support as needed. \nStudy technical manuals and attend training sessions to maintain current knowledge.\nSupport manufacturing when required and help perform and conclude both Pre-FAT and FAT.\nIf this sounds like you, we want to connect!\nFamiliarity with Rockwell Automation programming software with the ability to connect to Allen Bradley PLC’s and HMI’s for troubleshooting and some coding.\nProficiency troubleshooting electrical circuits, I/O devices, VFD’s, servo motors and various industrial networks.\nExperience with robotic applications including programming and vision (Fanuc preferred).\nHands-on experience working with industrial automation equipment.\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment.\nAbility to work in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nUnderstand and markup electrical schematics and read 2D, 3D AutoCad mechanical assembly drawings.\nA minimum Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or Robotic Programming.\nStrong customer service skills and the desire to work.\nPLC programming, HMI development and troubleshooting skills.\nGeneral understanding of automation; including but not limited to: high-speed assembly machinery, SCADA / Gantry / Six-Axis Robotics, FANUC robots and general automation technology.\nKnowledge of AutoCAD electrical is a plus.\nFamiliarity with Ladder Logic, Studio 5000 and Factory Talk are a plus.\nWillingness to travel up to 95 percent.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThere's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
