Keep reading.\nPace Packaging is seeking a talented Field Service Technician/Assembler to contribute to the success of the organization through technical field support to continue our strong customer loyalty and recognition as a leader in customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical installation, start-up and troubleshooting skills.\nDoes this work interest you?\nPerform installation at customer location (electrical and mechanical) of Pace automated unscrambling machinery.\nPerform in-factory startupcommissioning of Pace machinery at customer location. The technician is required to troubleshoot and make adjustments in order to achieve the machine efficiency rates per the contract. Training plant personnel is required.\nPerform in-factory repair/servicing of Pace machinery at customer location. Services include troubleshooting machinery inefficiencies and making required adjustments, performing audits, installing upgrades, and follow-up operator training.\nGenerate detailed service reports.\nEngage with customers in pursuit of aftermarket sales opportunities including machine upgrades or retrofits, additional service opportunities, and recommendations on stocked spare parts.\nSet up and testing of variable frequency drives, and servo controllers.\nBuild, set up, perform factory acceptance testing on new equipment at the manufacturing facility\nProvide support in the shop as an Assembler during periods when field assignments are not scheduled.\nWork flexibly between field and shop operations, assisting with assembly tasks in the shop when not performing field duties.\nIf this sounds like you, we want to connect!\nHigh school diploma required; associate degree in a mechanical, electrical, or related technical field preferred\n3+ years of equipment manufacturing, machine repair, maintenance, or related experience preferred\nStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in custom machine startup, repair, or maintenance preferred\nBasic knowledge of Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings, including electrical and wiring schematics\nProficiency with Microsoft Office for technical reporting and training documentation\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach to resolving equipment issues\nAbility to effectively train customer personnel on equipment operation and use\nSelf-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with customers, operators, and team members\nFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs\nWillingness and ability to travel more than 75% of the time, both domestically and internationally; non-travel time will be spent working at the plant\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThere's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
