Keep reading.\nReporting to the Plant Manager, the Label Production Manager will lead our Mississauga label production team. In this hands-on role, you will drive operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity, cost control and on-time performance while developing a strong, accountable production team.\nThis is an opportunity for an experienced production leader to improve processes, strengthen controls and help the operation deliver exceptional results for our customers.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead the Mississauga Label Production Team and build a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous learning.\nOversee daily production operations and meetings to ensure customer expectations, production targets and quality standards are met or exceeded.\nManage labour, overtime, waste and production-related expenditures within budget.\nLead, mentor and develop press operators and production support staff.\nOversee hiring, training, performance management, skill development and workforce planning.\nManage production requirements and resources, including lead times, on-time performance, demand planning, scheduling, quality control, productivity and continuous improvement.\nUse the ERP system, operational data and reporting tools to identify trends and act on improvement opportunities.\nPartner with Customer Service and Estimating to assess new business opportunities and production feasibility.\nMaintain strong internal and external customer relationships and resolve escalated production or service issues.\nEnsure preventative maintenance programs are in place and support reliable production equipment.\nMaintain knowledge of emerging production methods, material options and related technology.\nSupport Shipping/Receiving, inventory, Health and Safety, special projects and other operational requirements as needed.\nProvide back-up support for material handling when required.\nHealth and Safety Leadership\nMaintain a safe production floor and ensure team members are trained in established safe work practices.\nWork with production employees, the Plant Manager, Environmental Health and Safety, Human Resources and the Joint Health and Safety Committee to implement and support health and safety policies and programs.\nFollow all federal, provincial and company safety requirements, including applicable SDS handling instructions.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years of experience in a production environment, with demonstrated success leading teams and delivering results.\nProven ability to implement effective controls and process standards.\nExperience reducing cycle times, improving quality and applying continuous improvement practices.\nExperience managing workflow from raw material inventory through staging, production and shipping.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple assignments and work independently using sound judgment.\nStrong communication, organization and time-management skills.\nDetail-oriented approach, strong work ethic, positive attitude and high integrity.\nPreferred Qualifications\n3+ years of experience in label production or a printing environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.\nExperience using an ERP system. Syteline experience is an asset.\nPhysical and Work Environment Requirements\nAbility to stand for approximately 70% of the workday and regularly sit, reach, bend and twist.\nAbility to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Certain tasks may require lifting or moving up to 70-75 pounds.\nAbility to perform work requiring distance vision, colour vision and focus adjustment.\nMinor exposure to materials such as epoxies and cleaners may occur.
